Since you can’t take the hint: Take that bad attitude to another thread. Eye Candy threads are for all different design inspirations. If you want images just for your taste, make a Pinterest board.

OP, I love your kitchen inspiration picture. The color reminds me of jadeite.

OP - I have a kitchen with shaker style cabinets in natural maple. They're in great shape so I hate to get rid of them, but I'd love to see some attractive/interesting kitchens with cabinets like that. Thanks for doing this!!

OP, I am dreaming of a 70s kitchen that will blend with my 70s house. I know. I always wanted a pretty white kitchen with a statement faucet, but they’re already passé, and we are still in the savings stage. I figured that, if one must have an old house, better for all the parts to match. Now, there were a lot of ugly kitchens during that period, but I was wondering if you could find something that still looks passable.

Same here! It's such a pretty space...and the chandelier makes me smile.

I too love the green kitchen with the bananas. Along with the lavender kitchen. Nice way to start the day!

High gloss cabinets...I didn't see direction on the style of cabinet, but a lot of what I'm finding is modern. I'll try to share a mix of styles.

More traditional...

Anonymous wrote:Yay, EyeCandy! Request for you. I am in the middle of a kitchen renovation (literally, walls are coming down as we speak). I have everything picked out except the backsplash and need inspiration. Some details:

Walls: SW Gray Screen (which can skew blue or gray, depending on light and surroundings)
Wall cabinets: White shaker style
Island cabinets: A stained dark, dark gray
Countertop: Blue Pearl granite
Floors: Chocolate wide-plank hardwoods
Lights/fixtures/handles: bronze

Because the paint and counter have a bluish tinge to it, I'd like to pull a stronger blue-gray into the backsplash. There won't be much of it used as it's a fairly open kitchen without a lot of wall, but lots of windows. Any inspiration to share?

Also curious where people like to shop for tile around here. Preferably Nova.

I looked up blue pearl granite and the pictures I'm seeing show that it has a lot of flecks. Not being a professional designer, I'd probably play it safe with a simple backsplash and I would not do contrasting grout. I found one picture of that granite with white subway and gray grout and it's super busy.

I've heard good things about Mosaic Tile near Merrifield. I don't know NOVA as well as some of the others here, though.

Maple, shaker cabinets.

I have to admit that I'm not good at identifying different kinds of wood, so I'm going off of captions and bad, gut instinct.

This isn't maple, but it's such an interesting kitchen that I had to share...

That's spot on with the maple - thanks!!

I love the way they did the banquette. And the globe chandelier is so simple yet elegant.

Whoa, I usually don't like high gloss...

That's so funny you posted this! It is one of my inspiration pics on pinterest for my future reno. I plan to bring the glossy blue in with an enamel stove.

I love the tile work
