You helped a lot with our inspiration in the other thread so here goes: looking for a diagonal galley kitchen that we’d like to keep white and minimalist modern (no shaker cabinets) I guess something that feels a bit tight or weirdly shaped but still feels modern. And it’s so funny we’re totally in the planning phase for this and are wondering what type of countertop or appliances.

Forgive me for being clueless...what is a diagonal galley? I googled and found diagonal islands in kitchens, but they weren't galley style.

so there is a straight line walking in fridge and pantry on opposite sides and then almost like a long hallway / galley but diagonal on an 45 degree angle where there is the sink opposite stove.

a visual like this lol so i guess i mean cramped space galley and on a weird angle its not straight line

lol my amazing drawing did work just imagine you walk in straight then you turn 45 degrees and it's another long hallway style walk.

I'm not sure I'll find that layout, but I'll look small, modern, and lots of white.

Hi Eye Candy,
I'd love to see coastal inspired kitchens preferably with cabinets and walls other than white. TY!

Hi! I'm the one who asked for MCM inspiration. I sent four of those photos off to our architect and project manager. Thank you!

Hi! I love delft tile, but DH isn’t sure. I am having trouble finding photos of them in brown kitchens. All of the inspiration photos are white or blue kitchens. Any ideas to help get him on board?

A little gray/blue

That blue marble is insanely beautiful. Any idea what it is called?

If you're set on using delft tile, but don't want to use white or blue, what do you want to use? Perhaps you need to stop looking at kitchens and look at other places where delft has been used and see what colors are speaking to you?

Wow, some of those are pretty. Our kitchen is a dark knotty pine and I love it. DH has a hard time visualizing things, so white kitchens with blue tile were a step too far. I do love the blue delft, just not blue cabinets. Sorry if that wasn’t clear.

And no that I reread that, I see why you were having trouble. DH is worried it will look “ cluttered” and that the blue and white tiles “ won’t go” in a brown kitchen. Any evidence to the contrary would be appreciated.

The person who spends the most time in the kitchen makes the decisions. That's the rule in our house. Haha.
