Yay, EyeCandy! Request for you. I am in the middle of a kitchen renovation (literally, walls are coming down as we speak). I have everything picked out except the backsplash and need inspiration. Some details: Walls: SW Gray Screen (which can skew blue or gray, depending on light and surroundings) Wall cabinets: White shaker style Island cabinets: A stained dark, dark gray Countertop: Blue Pearl granite Floors: Chocolate wide-plank hardwoods Lights/fixtures/handles: bronze Because the paint and counter have a bluish tinge to it, I'd like to pull a stronger blue-gray into the backsplash. There won't be much of it used as it's a fairly open kitchen without a lot of wall, but lots of windows. Any inspiration to share? Also curious where people like to shop for tile around here. Preferably Nova.
I looked up blue pearl granite and the pictures I'm seeing show that it has a lot of flecks. Not being a professional designer, I'd probably play it safe with a simple backsplash and I would not do contrasting grout. I found one picture of that granite with white subway and gray grout and it's super busy. I've heard good things about Mosaic Tile near Merrifield. I don't know NOVA as well as some of the others here, though.
