Solidcore in phase 2

This!!! I’m probably never going back in studio, but I would be all over an at home option. Please, solidcore, find a way to transform your business model to a smaller scale peloton!!!

I asked them if this was a possibility a while ago and they said something might be in the works, but I haven't heard anything since.

They won't even allow those with previously purchased class packs to transfer them over to the passes for online classes, they require you to buy a completely new pack for online use only.

So I have 12 classes that I can't even use unless I go to their unsafe studio.

Anne and some of the other OG instructors hinted at an at-home prototype in April (or May)? but I'm sure opening studios is more lucrative...

I hope it is better than just telling us to get sliders. I give up with those for anything ab related :/.

I’m an 8 pack monthly and between the 4 classes I had when the studios shut, and the 30 day cancellation policy. I’ll have 12 unused classes too, very disappointing how they have handled things.

I wrote my home studio to ask about class size, etc. Not that it will change my mind, but I thought I should ask before quitting after 3.5 years.

Anyone actually cancel their contract? If so, what was the reaction?

I had a monthly unlimited for $300/month. They’re cancelling it and told me I can return at that same rate when I’m ready. Totally fine with me!

If anyone goes this weekend, I’d love to know what it is really like and whether they are doing anything else to make clients feel comfortable (beyond what is posted on the website).

Ditto on reports from the studios (MD especially). Also curious whether the workout feels watered down without being able to use the middle of the machine for moves (although I bet this is somewhat coach-dependent).

If Anne isn’t developing it, I hope someone is designing a quality megaformer that can be purchased for home use at a price point more reasonable than $10k. I don’t want an exercise bike! Maybe Peloton will tap into this gap in the industry?

Rules don't apply to solidcore, dontcha know?

I was able to terminate my solidcore membership easily, via email.
It makes me so sad. I had just a month of classes under my belt when the shutdown happened and it was the best workout I’d ever done. I hope to return one day but right now, a small studio with people who are breathing extremely hard and sweating all over, just seems unsafe.
I agree a home version (an affordable one) would be amazing.

Did you tell them why? I’m deciding whether to go the extra step and tell them that I don’t think their precautions come close to being sufficient.

And I should be clear, while I will miss the workout and some of the instructors, the plan to get distancing by turning around every other machine (but reducing class size) is some major BS.
