Flex Academy at Langley... when will we get a decision??

Tick tock, tick tock. Not even an email with a plan of what camp will look like. Will they be outside all day? What is the cleaning plan?

Why do I have a feeling we'll get answers so close to the start it will be too late to cancel.

It is hard to move to plan B when they are holding on to thousands of my dollars.

Seriously, SOME communication. ANYthing at all would be helpful....

Part of me feels like they want us to cancel due to the complete uncertainty so we get hit with the cancellation fee. If they cancel on us first then I assume they’d give us full refunds. It’s like a game of chicken.

Has anyone called? Posted on Twitter? Other social media? Seems like a passive wait and see approach.

I’d do what a PP said. Make a plan B now. Assume money is gone.

Yes. They've not replied. My next email is going to be from my lawyer

That’s so terrible. I’m so sorry.

I emailed the COO last week and he replied with vague yes we're officially still intending to operate camp at Langley, but we don't actually know for sure yet if DCPS is going to give access to the facility. Will let you know when we know, basically. So, not useful information.

I've not heard much from adventures on the hill, either

The cancellation policy says we can cancel 2 weeks before. So I take it I can cancel session by session if needed and see what happens? I’m signed up for session 1 so need to cancel by monday.

Also Flex now has a whole website with virtual camp that they are promoting. Why aren’t they responding and providing options to existing customers??

Unless I’m missing it, there’s no signup link for regular summer camps on the website. You can only get to the pages from the marketing emails they sent out in the winter?

I think we may do this - just cancel week by week until we find out what’s happening. My concern though is length of time they are taking to process refunds and also response time to emails. We are still waiting on enrichment refunds from March.

The lack of info instills zero confidence in this company.

Do you know how we cancel? I can’t find a link to anything on site. And my emails inquiring if they intend to hold the camp go unanswered. So I don’t have a lot of confidence in any sort of “email your cancellation” process.

I think only way is to email. And then credit card chargeback if no response.
