How long did you go without sex post-separation/divorce?

Nah. It actually takes work for men to have sex. Can't just go into a bar and lift up your skirt like a woman can. If it's been years since you've had a first date, it's tough. And for a while, even flirting with new women makes you feel vaguely guilty like you're cheating ("wife might find out") or something. Takes time to shake off that thought pattern that got ingrained over years of marriage.

My divorce has been final for a few months, I haven't even tried yet.

It's easy when your AP is available, eh?

Well the women are busy putting the kids back together while the men f*ck their way through their own pain so your observation makes sense.

I have 50/50 custody and spend most of my evenings and weekends helping kids with homework and taking them to extracurriculars, so your bitter, angry attack on men makes no sense to me. Wish I had time to "f*ck my way through the pain"...

I had befriended another divorced Dad at our gym and one day a flirty conversation about our mutual lack of physical intimacy led us to the back of my SUV. I don’t know what I was thinking but it sure felt good. The relationship didn’t go anywhere and then I went another few months before I met a nice guy I dated for a year.

My husband has been known to say about my divorced GFs - “what she needs is a good screw.” It’s kind of repulsive but there is some truth to it.

You’d have to find willing partners, too.

What kind of bars have you been visiting?

It’s not as easy to find a compatible female partner as you think. Remember it takes two.

Where are the bars where you find compatible females DTF?

Separated at the beginning of summer and didn't even think about it for a while as I was focused on the kids, schedules, finances, moving, etc.

By Labor Day weekend I was ready to date again. The only good part of divorce has been sleeping with new people.

You and PP are saying the exact same thing: men generally want sex, women generally don't.
Ironically though, men are motivated to find it, and generally do so.
Women are not motivated, and so (despite being surrounded with options) go without.

Attractive female here, I just hit 3 years last week. I don't miss sex as much as I thought I would.

I would not be DTF with anyone in a bar where women are lifting their skirts. Sounds like STD Central.

I agree. I have long suspected that a lot of men lie about how much sex they are actually getting. The same way they lied in high school is the same way they lie as adults. There is a small population of men who get laid on a regular basis, the rest are lying on their d*cks. Women can get laid whenever they want to, men can not.

Maybe women CAN, but they are generally more discerning. Especially if they are already mothers. A $100 purchase from an adult toy store is a surer bet for an O, isn’t going to stalk you, and doesn’t carry an STD or pregnancy risk.

The unattractive ones don’t have much say in the matter.
