Or maybe it’s just a good time to blame him for every bad thing in the world.

Well he and his supporters are causing most of the strife that is going on right now. If you cannot see this, you are hopeless.

Hope you and no one in your family has a pre-existing condition.

So what would the appropriate response have been here? Allow him to stay? He has a criminal record. Are criminals now exempt from laws too?

Verifiable facts are deportations are down drastically under Trump, yet people seemed so happy under Obama.

Verifiable facts are that it is the Trump administration under Trump's orders undertaking decorations of more than 1,000 Iraqis including Christians. Iraq agreed to accept these people in order not to be placed on Trump's Muslim ban list.

The appropriate response with all the Iraqis in this country who are not violent criminals would be to offer them temporary protected status. Anyone brought here as a child who has grown up here like this man should be offered a path to citizenship.

He was here illegally, and he's been committing crimes since 1998, when he was 13 or 14. Why should we offer him a path to citizenship?

Because Iraq.

What part don't you believe? You don't believe he died? You don't believe he was deported? Obviously you are suggesting that he deserved to be deported to a dangerous country in which he has never lived and in which he would not have access to proper healthcare.

I wonder if he was really Christian. I wonder if he was really diabetic. I wonder when he really arrived here. I wonder a lot of things.
Was he here illegally? If so, he should have been deported years ago.
This is the issue with illegally immigration as we have it now. People become outraged when people who have recently arrived are deported. But, when they are here for a period of time, they then get outraged that they are deported because they have been here so long.

This is why we have to get a handle on illegal immigration. Fix the laws. Enforce the ones we have.

This +1 million

Fix the laws. Enforce the laws that are in place.

This man’s death is not something to blame Trump for.

I mean, the Iraq deal that Jeff mentioned is directly Trump's doing. Not Congress.

Do you really and truly believe this? Trump has an amazing amount of influence if most of the strife is caused by him. I’d say there is responsibility to be taken on both sides of the aisle.

What dies that mean? You'd think that an adult, knowing he is here illegally, would not draw more attention to himself by committing crimes against Americans. It said he's now 34, and his. Rimes date back 21 years - to 1998. So he was a criminal beginning at age 13. Why would we want to make someone like that a citizen!

Petty crimes. I think you have an overly rosy view of immigrants and citizens. And Iraq.

I agree with the PP that there are other questions. Why was he not deported earlier if he has been here illegally all this time? He should have been deported earlier. Was he committing crimes while he was illegally? How do you prove that he was Christian?

We would want to make him a citizen because we are a humane country (or so we tell ourselves). He did not choose to come to this country, but was brought as a child. Leaving him without status is not a solution. Deporting him to his death is inhumane.

So the reward for coming here illegally and committing ‘petty’ crimes is to get citizenship?

The issue of whether someone can or cannot obtain insulin is not something to blame on Trump. How is that Trump’s fault?? Over the top to lay blame there.
