4 kids DH makes between 140-200k depending on how the year goes. Got to love sales.

I’m surprised at people who are not working when DH earns 250k or less.

DH earns 1-2m. I stopped working when he hit 800k. We had two kids then. Now we have 3 kids.

If DH earned less, I would have continued to work.

OP here, I didn't say "SAHM" because I know a lot of women who SAH don't have kids yet (or don't plan to have them at all)

Stayed at home when kids were in the home, but now "kids" are 32/33 and I have never worked outside the home. DH makes $150k. We now have my mother living with us and I help out with DH's mother as well, so I've traded kids for mothers.

I know two housewives (which, IMO, is either a wife that stay at home and has no kids or a wife that stays at home after the kids have left home). I would venture to guess, based on their husbands’ jobs/titles, that they make about $250k.
