Wtf are you talking about you clown. This is relatively close by, there’s nothing like it around this area (particularly the full indoor field), and Fairfax sportsplex is right there as well, if you want to play traditional indoor. Go see a shrink or something |
| Where is this? |
| Springfield. Close to Industrial Rd I think |
| I think they are going off of the model that more expensive means better. The gear such as t-shirts/hats are ridiculously expensive. A hat listed for $50. Ha Ha. |

I was going to go to the open house on Saturday but couldn't make it.
I was primarily interested in the water park/splash pad they had there but their website sucks and I can't seem to find any information on it; not even pictures. I was wondering about pricing, availability (do you have to be a member? if so, how much?)... you know just the basic questions a user might have??? |
I'm a member and I can't even tell you that. I think it will be open to nonmembers at a slightly higher price. |
For as many people that they had on staff for the open house, they should have done a better job in training them to be aware of the services provided. Many may not even be regular staff but the lines to speak to someone about rates were not worth the wait. The facility itself is amazing but don't think most members will get their worth for the price of the membership. Most will only use gym and for that you are better off at your local gym that offers same equipment and classes. |
What are you talking about? I commented on this thread and I don't even like sports. The thing looks so cool. I am excited about the ice rinks and am excited to see it come into that industrial area. It will be great for the surrounding towns. |

We chekced it out on Saturday. It's big. Location is a bit out of the way for their target demographic. We live in Bethesda and we'd pay for it, if it was closer. No way I'm driving 20 miles down 495 on a regular basis. I can see taking the kids to the water park once every few months as a treat. It's $20/person for the waterpark. We saw only a little of it from afar, so can't comment on the size.
They'll make their money running all the sports tournaments, since there aren't really any indoor FIFA-reg soccer fields, or ice hockey rinks (will be one soon in Ashburn/Leesburg though), or basketball courts, etc. |
+2! Exactly right, plus the location is terrible! Those who would potentially go, in that proximity have much better options. Nothing special, overpriced |
The "active entertainment and waterpark" is complementery BEFORE 3pm Monday thru Thursday for members. It is $15 PER HOUR PER PERSON after 3pm for members and all day for non members from September to May. It is $20 PER HOUR PER PERSON after 3pm for mebers and all day for non members for June, July, and August. I agree that they've built it in the wrong place. The median income for Springfield is around 95k. These aren't the people who can shell out hundreds of dollars a month for a facility like this. |
| Wow, that's crazy. Why buy a membership if you still have to pay to swim?! |
There are developments with mcmansions that cost over $1.5M in Springfield, and the location would not be that far via the beltway from more expensive NoVa suburbs. So they may have a membership pool within a reasonable distance. We live in NoVa and have a $350K HHI and it sounds too expensive for me, but our kids are too young for sports. If it had indoor tennis, I would seriously consider joining; it's unfortunate that they do not. |
You don’t have to pay to swim. The pool is separate from the water park. |
We live in Annandale outside the beltway and it takes 14-15 min to get there. We are members, at least for now. It’s not that much more than we have been paying at Lifetime, and I’m hoping the group fitness options are better. |
