Admit it, how many of you purposely got knocked up so your man would marry you?

I negotiated my xH getting a vasectomy when we divorced so my kids college fund was not compromised.

I will never understand why people marry when there's a pregnancy. They'll end up divorced eventually, or very unhappy. Why doesn't he wait until the baby is born, paternity, and then consider marriage later on if that's what he wants.

If you don't want to get trapped, don't put sperm in them.

Except on the "didn't actually get a vasectomy" and "didn't pull out in time" thread we learn how entrapment is abuse. But like many things in life, I guess it's only abuse if men do it.

His stupidity in trusting his partner (lesson men: never trust women -- if you do, they'll just call you stupid later for doing so) does not justify her abuse.

NP without a vasectomy, enough children already and single for a few years. Just broke it off with a mid 30's woman who wanted a baby and told her from the beginning I wasn't having anymore. She said she was on the pill until I noticed the pee strips in the bathroom trash. Manipulated - yes, thinking I was going to cave for her - no!

I am so sick and tired of men saying they were trapped by a woman who got pregnant on purpose to coerce a proposal/marriage. Don't want a kid? Wear a rubber or get a vasectomy!!!!!

Women? Don't want a kid??? Get on a pill or get your tubes tied!!!

I dated a guy for a while and we were genuinely happy. We were taking marriage and long term future. I was on the pill. I still got pregnant. I never had any intention of trapping him in an unhappy marriage. When I got pregnant he completely flipped and claimed that the responsibility was solely on me basically to make sure that the pregnancy doesn't happen. You can probably figure out why we aren't a couple today.

May be time to go ahead and book that therapy appointment.

I agree. Steve Garvey, the former LA Dodger impregnated two women and married a third. He said that he was under the impression that the first two women were using birth control. Boys, NEVER assume.

Ding ding ding!!! We have a winner!

Exactly.

My SIL did this. Totally backfired. Now she's a single mom and a kid doesn't have a father.

It's amazing to me how many MRA would rathrr omplain about women using their fertility to trap men vs taking control of their own fertility. Or wear a condom

If you can't trust a person you probably shouldn't have sex with them. You sound like someone who will be happier with a blow up doll you can abuse to your heart's content

Nope not for me. It was very important to wait until after marriage.
