Well... we're in the 50s, so guess we're moving to a county with decent schools.

???
If your number is in the 50s on the "raw" numbers spreadsheet that means you got a spot.

Yeah but we're looking for the 4-year old program.

Last year they said they didn't offer any spots. This year there may be a handful because I think knsome people pulled their kids out after the drama at the beginning of the school year.

What was the drama about?

# 14 for Thomas Pullan Elementary School for fourth grade. I am sure i will not get in.

Would you guys leave a TAG school for Thomas Pullan. Just thinking about keeping my daughter in a decent middle school. Accept Thomas Pullan or stay at TAG school and go to Kenmoor middle.

I am new to PG county Schools so any suggestions would be great.

It depends on how academically minded she is. Kenmoor's TAG program is pretty rigorous and it isn't a good fit for all kids. Also, if she is in a TAG center already she will have that cohort of kids to move on with. I wouldn't separate my kid from their friends unless there was a real compelling reason.

Thank you for the great advice. She can handle Kenmoor rigor, i had heard great things about Thomas Pullan middle school program and not much about Kenmoor. Many of her friends will not move on to Kenmoor so this is why my interest was peaked about Pullan. This was the information i needed.

My 5yr old got into Thomas Pullen. Does anyone have experience with this school in elementary? I hear great things about the middle school but nothing about the early grades. Thanks!

I've heard nothing but good things about Thomas Pullen, including from the teachers.

I just want the website to update. I finally got my wait list letter which is actually lower than the number that is showing on the website.

Me as well. The website shows our number as 187, but the letter says 30. I'm not really sure what to think of that. Anybody have any insight on this?

My guess is that 187 was the raw lottery result and that you are number 30 on the waitlist... So the 157 people above you on the raw numbers either got offers, or were not eligible for the program for some reason.

We received our letter today, accepted into Glenarden Woods!

Someone explain this to me:

My son did not get a letter; when I went online it said his spot is 32 for the 3 year old montessori program.

My daughter got a letter and it said her waitlist number was 101 at Dora Kennedy French Immersion school, while her number online said something like 256.
