Discussion this morning women who wear bikinis that are over 40.

Bikinis ARE more comfortable. I can't imagine being so into myself that I think one other person even cares what I wear.

Yet ugly, fat men take their shirts off at pools and beaches around the world!

This genius seems to think a one piece somehow covers cellulite.

Really? You should ask yourself why you hate normal bodies so much. Why do you think they're ugly? You've been conditioned to think that only exceptionally toned and unblemished skin is allowed to be bared. That is not healthy thinking, my dear.

Fine by me. But if they actually swim--and I mean really swim--a bikini is simply not practical.

Easy peasy... don't go to the beach or pool. Then you won't see it.

I agree that many women in this area are very harsh critics on this topic, which surprises me considering how liberal the area is.

Americans don't accept natural beauty. We've been bombarded with too many images of perfect hollywood bodies. Hard to overcome that even if you are liberal.

in my country (Brasil)everybody wear a bikini even you are 80 years older, no problem.

Cover up their bodies because you don't find them to be attractive enough, per your standards?

I don't wear bikinis because I don't like that much of my skin to be exposed to the sun, but explain to me why people should take your opinions into consideration when choosing swimwear?

This not for everone,it's is good for nice body, not for double culo..

Don't care. I think you can even wear a bikini if you are fat too.

+1 I am 46. I won't wear one because my skin was stretched so much during my pregnancies to the point where I look like a human charpe, but if you look good wearing one, who cares how old you are.

I saw a pix of Helen Mirren in one. She looked awesome. Some people are so uptight.

Actually, who cares even if you don't look so-called "good"...One of my favorite things about my Jamaican vacations was that all the local people treated you like you were gorgeous no matter what you looked like, how old you were etc.

That's because they were after your visa. The locals were probably snickering.

....or your ability to get them a visa.

This is what I've discovered in Aruba! My suits have gotten skimpier and skimpier, to the point of bikinis now, after years of going there. I felt SO FRUMPY in my one-piece.

You are not hiding anything with your tankini, one piece or swim shorts. If you are fat we know it. Wear what is comfortable. FWIW a bikini top is far more supportive than a one piece that Smooshes down your boobs.
