How do some 5 year olds get to be little turds?

She and I talked about it and she is fine, but what a little shit. I would be mortified if my kid sold this to another child.

First kid? You need to grow a backbone.

I would tell her Larlo is a good speller but he has terrible people skills, which are infinitely more important in life. You can use spell check when you grow up but so far there's no app for not being an asshole...

Bad news for OP, then.

I used shit in my post. And that's how I felt. I just wasn't sure if I could type shit in the title. But you are as bad as the five year old! Making fun of my word choice?

OH, OP...

Shaking my head.

It's incredible that you don't see the irony here, OP.

INCREDIBLE.

Well, looks like OP is not coming back. Hopefully she realized she over-reacted.

So... a 5 year old is not allowed to say that something is for babies, but you're allowed to call him a little shit and a little turd?

Riiight. And what you need is a little perspective, here, OP.

This!

OP seems very self-obsessed and immature.

So much so that I think it might be a troll.

I think your ego is more hurt with the realization that your child is not brilliant and in the top group and that other kids know it than your 5 yr old's feelings.

This was my thought as well. Purely based on my own observations, kids with older siblings tend to say mean things that seem oddly "old" for them, like calling another kids work babyish.

I agree with OP. Some little kids are little shits.

And many of the parents that are raising these little "you know whats" are revealing themselves on this thread.

I think with OPs attitude, she is likely one of those parents who thinks her child can do no wrong whatsoever.

If that isn't a stretch, I don't know what is...

No. I have been around the block and my kids are older. Believe me, somebody like OP who lashes out about a five-year-old with crass and over-the-top language like OP used, yeah, I've seen that type before: completely unaware of her own kid's behavior and completely willing to rip into other kids. Wait until OPs kid is the mean girl in middle school and OP refuses to see it.

Yep this. Kids, even when we teach them to be nice, sometimes aren't. Even your kid, OP.
