Does it matter if the pool lifeguard sells pot?

OP here. I said rehab but really it was psychiatric care and ended up with a ADHD diagnosis. On meds now and doing well. Thanks for your response.

So selling pot is OK now? Just a youthful transgression? Oh.

Are you crazy? Your parents try to get you to stop using drugs, you continue to use them, then blame your parents? You, my friend, are a typical drug addict. Grow up.

If he's still dealing, this is the ideal place for him to get clients. I'm not sure what I'd do, but I most certainly would not want my child around him given this history. If you say something, focus on what you know for a fact so he's not getting fired due to speculation. I know people make mistakes, but this environment really lends itself to abuse because there are so many young people around, likely with a decent amount of disposable income. If you say nothing, maybe finding another club for your family would be a good idea.

I'm guessing the PP was referring to her brother. Regardless, what she said makes sense. While probably well intended, sending a kid who was smoking pot to rehab where he or she lived & socialized with a peer group made up of hard core drug users was not a good idea.

Yes. It's just pot. It's everywhere.

I agree. It is appealing. Take the fam to the pool, come home with a little treat.

Do you have any evidence he has been high at his job?

I recognized the 17 year old lifeguard as a boy my DD used to buy pot off of and he was a regular user. My DD went through a very long and difficult rehab but I believe she is clean. She admitted based on her texts with others that he is still dealing and using. Do I mention this to the Association or just let it go? Not trying to cause trouble.

you made your DD do rehab for pot????

Yes! Do it! Don't you get everything you demand?

Any evidence he's dealing other than hearsay?

Ignore the crazies.

If he is working stoned, that is a potentially big deal -- just like coming to work drunk. Would you report him if you thought he was an alcoholic?

If you have evidence that he is committing an illegal activity, yes, say something.
