I love football but am not a fan of Texas. Will I still like the show?

I'm the poster watching while recovering from surgery. I think the amount of actual football diminishes after the first few episodes. And if it's too much, I just fast forward through the game. The show's strengths are the characters and their development, as well as some great acting. Oh, and Tim Riggins, although I wish he'd comb his hair.

Best show ever! The series finale was probably the most satisfying series ender ever. Come back when you are done so we can process!

Tim Riggins forever...

OP here. Thanks for the insights. Saw that Romney stole "Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose" when he was stumping, and the show's writers sent him an open letter that was interesting.

And Tim Riggins, please tell me he survives the 5 seasons. No don't. No spoilers.

I watched FNL with my kids when they were in HS; the oldest is about to start grad school and we still talk about it. It's also a big favorite among my teaching colleagues.

I care little about sports and know very little.

You will still love the show. It is great storytelling and writing and acting about a small town with a lot of compelling characters.

I found myself googling some of her hairstyles to try to recreate them. She had a style in FNL with the bangs pulled back sort of off to one side but still on top and it looked so good. It looked ridiculous on me and I could never recreate it, nor could I figure out what they secured her hair with. Ugh!!
