| Honeymoon - 2 weeks in Australia |
That could have been us - used miles for tickets and split condo with family - DH and I each in our own twin bed

| One week in K'auai at theall Grand Hyatt. Amazingly beautiful. |
Actually, Iceland is relatively cheap now. Their currency (Icelandic krona) collapsed during the global financial crisis. Icelandair has been offering inexpensive flights from NYC. |

2 weeks in Greece. Phenomenal.

| Iceland is amazing. Definitely one of the most extravagant vacations I have taken. Hawaii would be the other. |
| The Maldives |
| Nepal and Egypt (on the same trip) |
|
Three weeks in Central and Southern Europe -- Budapest, Prague, Venice, then a cruise to Athens, hitting Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, and a bunch of places in Greece.

How much (is extravagent)?
$12,000? |

Three weeks in New Zealand and five days in Sydney.
Two weeks at a fancy resort in Malaysia. |
We can't afford extravagant Honestly, our trip to Disney that cost us $3K was too darn much.
We were planning a trip to Croatia and Slovenia at one point for hubby and I and had to bag it because $8K was just too much. We wound up doing a 2-week road trip through Ontario and Quebec for $3K. That was a really fun vacation, actually. We'll make it to Europe someday, but probably not anytime in the near future. I did go to England when I was 10 because my uncle was living there. We stayed with him near Kensington Gardens, he got us tickets to see the original cast of Les Miserables and got us into Wimbledon. That was probably the most extravagant vacation I have personally taken, but I didn't pay for it. I got to go to Hawaii twice because my now husband was stationned there for a couple years. Stayed with him mostly, so those trips were basically the cost of plane and food. Seriously, we just don't have a travel budget, and the vacation time is usually taken up by trips to see my husband's family halfway across the country. SOOO tired of that place

| Two weeks in Hawaii. Island hopping. Stayed at four seasons. We've taken other great trips but that was most "extravagant". |

6 weeks in S America (Ecuador, Argentina, Brazil, Peru, chile and Bolivia including Easter Island and the Galapagos). Airfare was the biggest expense (flights between countries more than the flights there). We didn't go with luxury hotels-just basic accommodations a step up from youth hostels (we wanted private rooms and bathrooms!)
It was amazing. I wish we could do something similar again, but our current work situations won't allow it and we have a new baby. Our other choice when we were planning was to do 6 weeks in Africa so hoping we can do a 2 or 3 week trip some day instead. |
| 3 weeks in India and 3 weeks in Egypt. Can't decide which was more extravigant. |
