How is this a lie? A better person, learning that the river needed to be raised to accommodate his little jaunt, could have adjusted his plans. Surely there are other rivers out there — or even other types of activities that wouldn’t have been as wasteful as this.

Enough of imperial presidencies. They should all vacation at Camp David while they are in office.

POTUS has the White House and VPOTUS has the Naval Observatory. That’s ample. No need for additional taxpayer dollars to be wasted on anything beyond official travel for the principal while in office.

No beach trips, no golfing, no hanging out in foreign lands or major metropolises.

They can vacation elsewhere after their term is up.
