Not on JD’s side here but it’s pretty common to control water flow for rivers to help with kayakers. My local river has water flow increased on Sundays and Wednesdays so kayakers can come out. I wouldn’t care at all if it was also down for police, firefighters, VP’s etc.

It’s a resource. Use it. As long as there is no drought or other harm, why not?

Now him going on monthly multimillion dollar vacations is a different issue. Trump (on public dime) and all the other political billionaires do it.

So what? It still impacted the river. Just like JD going to Disneyland a few weeks ago and having part of the park shut down impacted the other families who were trying to enjoy the day there with their kids.

JD could have gone to a different river that didn't need its water level changed at all. He could have gone to a river that suited the SS's needs and could have had 0 impact on the environment around him. Instead, he decided that the world needed to accommodate to him and his whims.
