Straight kid being teased as gay

"I know you are but what am I?"

"I'd rather be gay than an a-hole like you"

"You keep bringing this up, are you looking for a date to prom? If that's the case, I'm not interested. You might try someone in your league."

"Wow, your own sexual identity must really be on your mind if you're so fixated. There are therapists for that."

"You keep saying that like it would be a bad thing. So what? It's 2025. Catch up."

"Just cause I like boys butts doesn't mean I'm gay"

"Your dad doesn't mind me being gay, just saw him last night"

"I thought it was our secret"

SOunds good on a message board, but these won't work, boys call each other gay again. I would ignore it, they are trying to get a rise; these responses would cause more attention and make fun of as it plays into 2010 generic gay workplace training video and is accepting the insult.

If you say it with a smile, sometimes you can go from being the butt of the joke to one of the jokers. It's less fun for them if you are having fun too.

There’s nothing wrong with disliking people.

There is, if the only reason you dislike them is because of their sexual orientation.

Disagree. People don’t like others for all kinds of reasons. It’s no different than democrats disliking Republicans just because they voted for Trump. Who cares, really? It’s not a requirement of life to like everyone. We call that entitlement and entitlement is UnAmerican.

This comment is hilariously dumb.

No, don’t even try to blame the mother. My son was called gay in middle school and it’s such a hurtful thing for a 13 year old boy. He was never able to defend himself. It wasn’t in him. High school was a little better. He stayed away from sports because the boys who already had rage in them would throw basketballs in his face close up really hard. It can actually enrage them when you don’t pay any attention to them. All I can say is find activities where he can be around positive people and it will get better.

Of course you don’t have to like any group of people. I am pretty disgusted when I see groups of MAGAs on TV sounding like morons but if I saw someone with that red hat on I wouldn’t say anything. What you don’t seem to understand at all is just because you don’t like a certain group of people it doesn’t give you the right to call them names and make their lives miserable.

Do not tell him to say any of these or the ones that were quoted. It will reinforce that he is gay and make it worse.

It’s best he ignores it. I know it’s hard to do.
