was anyone pretending? |
LOL !!! The Bucknell troll appears everywhere and dosn't realize that he/she is doing harm to Bucknell rather than helping. The type of student who would choose Bucknell over Williams or Georgetown simply doesn't exist. |
| OP:Visit both Georgetown & Williams and the decision should be easy as these schools are quite different. |
|
Location/feel will be big here: Georgetown is urban, Williams is remote small town. What does he want?
Agree with a PP that finance from the College of A&S at Georgetown is less of a straight line than from McDonough. I’d want to research that path to ensure it’s viable. |
% males in sports at CMC is 49.5% |
You’re missing the 4 other colleges attached to its hip. |
Yes, OP is pretending this is a male humanities kid, if you hadn’t noticed. |
Yes, Claremont colleges run sports together. Because they share athletic teams, the % athletes is actually lower than NESCAC schools. |
|
Not missing them, just saying if you want to compare finance jobs coming out of CMC, you should factor this in. I dont really think you can compare the finance jobs coming out of Mudd or Scripps and CMC for this applicant .
but okay w the rest: Males in athletics Pomona: 307/769 Pitzer 307/484 Scripps NA Harvey Mudd NA |
| So if they’re both popular schools at your kid’s high school and you’re so convinced that he’s gonna get in, why exactly do you feel the need to crowdsource here with a bunch of anonymity strangers? Surely your son and his guidance counselor already know plenty about both schools, since they’re so “popular,” and he doesn’t need you doing this |
| don't think CMC was on this very short list of A vs B |
Weclome to DCUM. If another school isn't discussed, you'd be in the wrong place. |
nope. CMC runs own sports. Pomona and Pitzer share teams. |
why the scare quotes around popular? |
What does the second number even mean? Also Mudd has athletics with CMC and Scripps. |
