You understand. |
| Pretty resounding repudiation of the city council's hard left. Looking at you Nadeau and Charles Allen and Janeese. This is designed to get rid of you. |
Nadeau will be the biggest opponent of funding this, just watch. She'll try to move heaven and earth to make it go away, because she has zero chance if we go with ranked-choice voting moving forward. |
| I love how the left complained that poor people were to stupid to know how to use ranked choice voting, as a counter point. The days of soft bigotry of low expectations seem to be dwindling. Wokeness is on the way out! |

I voted for Harris but this is the rare silver lining in last night's results. The progressive left has returned DC to the Marion Barry 1990s when the Control Board was created to take over. Tony Williams, the Control Board CFO, then went on to be DC's most successful mayor. He was the architect of the prosperity and growth the city experienced through his terms. The momentum kept going through the kleptocracy of the Adrian Fenty/Bowser Green Machine but now has run out ---both because of mayoral ineptitude and the far-left progressives on the DC Council. I would be happy if Trump fired the USAO and put in a tough on crime federal prosecutor, made sure that the judicial bench was balanced out with former prosecutors instead of just former defenders and legal aid lawyers and started untangling the tangle of pro-tenant laws that have had the aggregate result of creating and perpetuating the safety/crime chaos that now besets many multi-family buildings---when dangerous and violent individuals cannot be evicted. |

NGL, if they don't fund it for 2026 then Congress will force it upon the Council. It will be a horrible fight.
This one has bipartisan support and a very vocal and influential contingent of Republicans live in DC. They will have Congress's ear on this. Why invite the fight with a GOP Congress? It just opens the door to other forms of Congressional meddling. |
Why do you say this? I think it’s designed to get in more progressive candidates that are not the plurality first choice. |
72.69 < 73 Fixed that for you. |
That's *definitely* not the purpose. |
That was Mayor Bowser and the DC Democratic Party, not “the left”. |
Wow, you’re an idiot. And unashamedly so. You must be working for the Council |
|
I’ll say this once and if you disagree; go get a GED.
Trust me when I say 72.69 = 73 Does not by any means = 72. Oh wow you’re really stupid. I get why we couldn’t move this at all. F it go at it Trump. I’m shook and I voted for you all and not for Trump but you’re just as stupid and FBI says well more corrupt |
What the hell is this nonsense? At the time of the OP, I-83's share was more than 72 and less than 72.5. Hence, it was rounded down. More votes have been counted since then and I-83's share of the total vote has risen above 72.5 and hence should now be rounded up to 73. I think we all know how to round decimals. Please go about your day and try not to be such a tool. |

It was not. We looked at the same numbers and then whomever doubled down. Just because you googled “math”…
