I'd really avoid the whole "put him on a plane" thing. that sounds racist AF.

And I'm not sure what's happening in the suite. Lots of kids live with extremely problematic suite mates. Kids who are up all night listening to music or are outwardly homophobic or racist to a gay or URM kid.

If I were you, I'd think locally. Get a text chain going with the other parents. Say, I'm worried FOR this kid. See if you can get a base of support .

Number 1 - get your kid's room moved as far from him as possible. That's probably the only concrete change you're going to be able to make at this stage.

I agree it “sounds” racist. But him not being a citizen, actually gives more leverage to do something about it. Soliciting a prostitute, indecent exposure, etc. actually can get your visa revoked. I’m exploring all options.

Indecent exposure is a sexual offense. It is not normal to ask college students to live with a sex offender. Surely the female RA also feels this way too!? I don't understand why he isn't arrested or why people in this thread are being so flippant. I would contact town police, yes.

How do the other suitemates feel about it? Do they all have single bedrooms or does anyone share a double bedroom with the guy who is clearly struggling?

So I just got off with the town police. They said it was out of their jurisdiction and offered to transfer me to campus police. I don’t have the emails of the parents because I didn’t want to be a helicopter mom. I wouldn’t know how to get them.

It isn't racist to hope the country revokes a visa for a repeat public masturbator.

Besides, the Chinese kids who end up in the US are typically from very wealthy and politically connected families back home. They are extremely advantaged already. This isn't some sob story, it's removing a criminal who will be fine back home with mom and dad.

sorry, when I said it sounds racist, I was soft peddling. I think you're totally racist. but that doesn't mean you're not also a concerned mom.

there's a lot that people won't put up with - racists Karens are high on the list. ICE won't care. The school will listen to the students or, perhaps, a group of "concerned for this young man" parents. pretend you are concerned.

LOL! How in the world would I ever get the emails of my son's suitemates' parents. How? I just can't find a way in.. if only we had a connection in some way ...

It’s a 12-man suite with 4 bedrooms of triples. Two others were bunked in with the mentally ill student. One, who was being forced to translate for him (talk about Albatrosses), the other guy is sticking it out. But they are extremely close quarters.
