He can change his underwear style. Then the boys will find something else to make fun of. Does he have big ears? A funny laugh? A lisp?

No one is bullying OP, Sally. Everyone is giving practical advice. If we supported bullying, we’d tell OP to send her kid to school in an Elmo thong.

I’m not understanding what is wrong with the briefs he has. If he’s comfortable in them it shouldn’t be an issue.

I also would find it tough to defend myself while standing in my underwear. Get him boxer briefs. Tell him it's camouflage.
Get them tighter or looser, whatever his preference.

What’s wrong is that he’s being made fun of for wearing them.

How are boxers any less prone to teasing? Kids think underwear is funny. There’s a popular kids book series called Captain Underpants that has been going on for almost 30 years.

+1 ours don’t have to change shorts (they all wear athletic shorts anyway)
I’d buy a pack of boxers and boxer briefs and just put them in the drawer. Mine likes the bamboo blend.

I’m surprised they’re even changing for PE.

No, you miss the point.
The younger generation wear boxers or boxer briefs preferably.

Just get anything like these. Problem solved.

Kids don't use the locker room at my school. They wear athleisure all day.

He should tell them he thinks briefs show off his package better and mock their penis sizes
