Yeah I’ve talked about this in the 2024 House thread, my sister lives in this district. I predict he and Cori Bush are both going to lose their primaries.

I consider myself progressive and I’m hoping he and Cori lose. I would have liked to see Talib gone. I think AOC has a good approach to making progress. She’s not a burn it all
Down or “it’s a revolution”
Sanders approach.

You are most definitely NOT a progressive. The appropriate label for you is centrist. You would be more likely vote for Nikki Haley than a member of the squad if they ran for President.

Oh please! Nikki who carries water for Trump? I was a Warren fan. AOC is a pragmatist, she understands how to make progress and picks her battles carefully. Sanders is all bluster and makes horrible personnel choices.

Np- absolutely. I think Bush, Bowman and some of the other “squad” members are grifters. The left’s version is the MAGA grift.

How are they "grifters"?

They are not.

DON THE CON and the rest of his sycophants are how many scams are they running right now? Many all over truth social, twitter and utube.

I don’t know about Bowman but there’s this about Bush.

They are grifters because they aren’t serious about governance but they love the paycheck and clout.
Maybe they aren’t as destructive as MAGA, but they aren’t great. They aren’t smart and they aren’t productive.
The democrats have a deep bench of serious, smart, and talented people.
They aren’t on that list.

I'm just going to say I would want to see more details. If she is having threats made, I can understand the need for protection.

I live in the district and support latimer. Bowman is very unpopular here but it is a very odd district with suburban and more urban areas, so it will come down to turnout.

Bowman would have lost a primary in 2022 had there been rank choice voting.

Posted upthread. It's a terrible district, truly so. The suburban folks and the more urban folks are not served by this district, or as well as they should be.

I'm not as sour on Bowman as many are, but I can't imagine him winning this district unless he has a turnout machine to beat all other machines.

Yes - will be interesting to see what happens. He is fully playing the race card - which is such a cheap trick - so who knows.

I think aipac plays by the same rules as any other lobby. Don’t hate the player, hate the game.

BOOM

"There is nothing progressive about rushing to call for a cease-fire in the days following Oct. 7 before Israel could even begin to defend itself,” Mr. Jones said. “There is nothing progressive about getting endorsed by the D.S.A., which in the days following Oct. 7 amplified a pro-Hamas rally in New York City.”

Boom indeed. Bowman’s a moron which he’s displayed a hundred times over.

Latimer is getting "ratioed" on Twitter but so what? He's got this.

While I don't like The Squad and I hope those facing primaries all lose, but it's important to put things in perspective. Between 150-200 Republican members of the House of Representatives are every bit as bad/performative as 'The Squad.'
