You're wondering if you should take supplements based on...Instagram? |
I take lots of supplements, both OTC and prescription. For regular issues (perimenopause and eye health) and for metabolic issues. I feel lucky to live in a time of advanced medicine that can diagnose and treat/manage rare diseases. |

I do not take anything. My numbers are fine. From what I read nothing really shows that people who take vitamins live longer or are healthier.

How much vitamin d in addition to the multi? I too am on the low side of D and already take a multi |
I usually do 4000ibu of D per day and I’ll test towards the end of the summer. Other than being outside for amateur sports like running and cycling, I’m inside a lot and my levels are historically low. Magnesium is 480-400mg at night in glycinate form depending on which brand I recently purchased. |
Magnesium, 400 to 530 mg. Without it, I get horrific vestibular migraines. |

Some people take supplements to improve quality of life and not just to live longer. Magnesium is the only thing that eases muscle tension in my shoulders and neck. Fish oil helps a lot with my dry eyes. My MIL has been much more energetic and vibrant since starting to take Vitamin D. My mother has fewer GI issues since starting probiotics. |
