Barely. Seven of the 11 boys teams are leaving ROSA. The Director abruptly ended our season and unilaterally withdrew us from our remaining tournaments. Best of luck to anyone remaining with the club or considering it in the future.

Really??? After families paid for this season and those tournaments they ended the season early because the team was leaving for NEXT season? That's bush league if true.

Did all 7 teams go to Potomac with the director?

I think PP means they’re headed over next season. But if the current club in fact ended their current season early, that’s outrageous.

An email was shared this past wknd, ending the entire season for the boys and withdrew them all from the tournaments. An abrupt, outrageous and unprofessional action by Rosa leadership.

What about finishing up their league games? That’s rough. Tournament-wise, most teams at that level finish by Memorial Day anyways but still…

2 tournaments remained (one in NJ, hotels booked), all forfeited without any notice to coaches and families. 1 week of practice remained, all cancelled. Very unfortunate for the kids. Terrible decision by leadership.

This is up there with the worst things I’ve heard about youth soccer clubs. This is outrageous unless there’s some other reason like they didn’t have enough players to field a team? But it sounds like the departing folks were still in for this season.

All players and families were committed and super excited to end the season strong and just play soccer, for the love of the game. It couldn't happen unfortunately 😕

There were at least 4 teams playing in each of the tournaments. This was petty and pure spite.

It is true and it is bush league. The more I've heard about why the boy's director decided to leave, the more I empathize with his decision. From everything I've witnessed, he's a phenomenal coach, and he brought in some other really great coaches as well. Considering the lack of character displayed by the ROSA director's decision to pull kids from the remaining tournaments, my guess is there were likely a lot of areas of friction within the top ranks. Their action was so petty and vindictive, and I don't buy any of their excuses about making sure they had enough teams to field the games....every team would have wanted to participate. So disappointed in how this all turned out. I would have recommended this org prior to seeing how everything was handled by the current ROSA director...purely pitiful. I also don't think this is a case of a portion of the club just being gobbled up by a bigger club and selling out...there's more to that story.

How can Jill sleep at night knowing she made this awful decision to end the season for all these kids?!? She should NOT be working children. What an evil, spiteful action on her part.
