Tell that to people who don't know where the first batch of ROSA boys came from Or didn't see him with ROSA team at Potomac tryouts |
As a parent of the “first batch”, he coached our team since they were 4 years old and it comprised of his son and neighborhood friends. He took them to another club when they were 7, the pandemic hit, they mutually parted ways, and he formed ROSA with the same players. |
Not entirely accurate. League games were played. Some teams but not all were withdrawn from post season tournaments. Seems like club leadership was careful to allow regular season to conclude but all bets were off for post season games. |
You must be that parent who sent secret emails to other players to have them come to Potomac with your son. It’s you, right? |
You must be a ROSA insider or maybe even JR, feeling bitter again. Let's all move on now.
|
What are you talking about? There was no advance notice. Who sends an email effectively ending the season at 12:01am? No one knew the game that was played earlier that day was the last time the team would play together. The only teams that weren’t withdrawn from tournaments (there were four) were teams staying at ROSA next season. Please stop drawing some arbitrary distinction between league games and tournaments. Our season, contractually, was to run through mid-June and that wasn’t upheld. |
Not sure I follow you. My son decided to follow the coach to Potomac regardless of other variables. Whatever the rest of his teammates decided to do, was up to them and their families. |
You're abandoning the club with a group of co-conspirators. Stop trying to play victim. Play with fire you get burned |
Grow up, it’s kids soccer. Abandoning the club and co-conspirators? Give me a break. |
Abandoned? Go kick rocks |
Pre-abandoned? |
You tell them Angel, that'll teach these kids! |
|
Player stay or leave clubs all the time based upon their coach(es). This is based upon their emotional/psychological or logical (ie coaching style, style of play, etc.) opinions of their coach(es). They also stay or leave based upon their teammates and friends.
On the other hand, parents have a contractual and financial relationship/obligation with the club based upon clearly written contractual expectations provided by the club (ie # of weekly practices, games and tournaments). If a club cuts off the season short for any reason other than “force majeure clause”, then the club owes the parents a partial refund. |
"and the children shall suffer the sins of their fathers" |
That’s the spirit of youth soccer!! F the kids. At least everyone is well aware of what ROSA cares about. |
