So the coach who sabotaged ROSA by taking multiple boys teams to Potomac was released by Potomac before the season started.

The parents/kids of course stayed 😆

Potomac said, this is chess, not checkers mate 😆

No surprises there.

This lesson should be taught in coaching certification courses

It makes sense to keep those younger players together before the madness of the competitive older ages. Good luck everyone wherever you play next season!

RL 2011 has 6.

So kids moved from edp1 to rl. Hmmm. Someone was deceived.

Are you sure about this? The coaches are very much still here.

Unless their website can't be trusted.
The pied piper coach who led his faithful followers to two different clubs isn't listed as a coach

and the highly touted 3 team "black" they were recruiting as a literal peer to the #2/RL team with ambitions of winning a USYS division is EDP 6. Smoke and mirrors

Was it Jill's decision or was it a decision by the owner(s)?

So, besides the "moving out of Rosa drama" what's actually going on with Rosa now?

It does… saw the U9 boys practice last week.

Barely. Seven of the 11 boys teams are leaving ROSA. The Director abruptly ended our season and unilaterally withdrew us from our remaining tournaments. Best of luck to anyone remaining with the club or considering it in the future.

Did all 7 teams go to Potomac with the director?

I think PP means they’re headed over next season. But if the current club in fact ended their current season early, that’s outrageous.
I changed teams due to the drama, and No they did not cancel the remainder of the season. This was an extra tournament at the end of the season.

How is the girls side at Rosa? My DD is contemplating trying out with them in the spring.

The girls side has always been pretty successful and been a great place to play. They have a few State cup Teams that play Premier #1 and who play against ECNL teams in tournaments.

They seem to be doing ok with the girls, I even know a few parents with boys who are still happy.

Jill is great—don’t blame her for that debacle on the boys’ side. Rosa’s reputation shouldn’t take a hit because of JS, who doesn’t even look like he’s played soccer let alone coach it, and DP, whose track record at clubs speaks for itself.

of cause he wants to develop kids, clubs want money and to win. It does not get along well.
He is one who I can say he is THE COACH.

I agree that he’s a solid ref and has experience in the rec/travel scene, but I wouldn’t be so quick to exclude him for the purely money-hungry convo. Wasn’t Rosa fallout about money and non deliverables? That said, I don’t know him for his work as a true developer. What I have heard is that he’s been known to take credit for players’ development at BSC & Potomac and has allegedly used his role as a ref to recruit kids off the field in SAM games. Just something to keep in mind.
