Super Easy to prepare entree for 100 teens - ideas?

Baked mac and cheese plus nugget trays from Chick Fil A. You can fit up to 4 9”x12” trays if mac and cheese in a standard oven and get the nuggies delivered if that’s easiest.

Thank you for all of the great ideas. Please continue posting. The more suggestions the better.

We have access to a professional kitchen with 2 ovens.

What about casseroles? They seem like something that would be easy to prepare in foil pans and kept warm in the oven until ready to serve. Does anyone have casserole suggestions?

With two ovens, yes, I’d go with a casserole. Either a baked pasta casserole like the previously mentioned Mac & cheese / lasagna / baked ziti, or…
Layered chicken enchilada casserole
Orzo or rice with chicken and broccoli

Not casseroles. Pan of baked & shredded chicken, pan of cooked sliced peppers & onions, pan black beans, pan rice. On side tortilla chips, tortilla shells, salsa.

Pulled pork sandwiches. Generously cover 3-4 large pork butts (30-40 lbs total for 100 kids) with BBQ dry rub. Put in pans and roast uncovered in a 250 degree oven for 8-10 hours. Shred meat into the same roasting pans, salt to taste. Serve with buns, BBQ sauce, hot sauce. Store-bought slaw, potato salad, baked beans for side.

Spaghetti and garlic bread. No casseroles.

Cater. I would do something simple like Qdoba

+1 Meatballs separate. This is good for meat eaters, vegetarians, vegans. If you have a little gluten free pasta and a side of salad, it works for everyone.

A taco bar would be good too.

Their mac and cheese always gets scarfed up by my kid’s vegetarian friends.

If you have ovens, you could warm up Costco chicken patties on big sheet pans and some veggie patties as another option.

This ones the winner. Casseroles are too fussy. But pans of meatballs in sauce, or eggplant in sauce with optional rolls and cheese is easy and filling.

sandwiches

pizza

spaghetti with meat sauce and alfredo sauce

Mexican buffet - meat sauce, refried beans, maybe fajita chicken, served with corn tortilla chips, flour tortillas, rice, and toppings (tomatoes, lettuce onions, cheese, sour cream, jalapeños, black olives, etc.)

Another vote for baked ziti.

Be prepared for some people to leave or not attend if you serve this.

Nope. Won't touch it and would be offended if that's what your offering
