But the point is, all of these street vendors trying to sell flowers at intersections are running illegal businesses. Even when the light is red, these vendors dart between cars, so when the light turns green you might not be able to see them coming from a direction I’d there’s a large vehicle next to you and you run the risk of hitting them. Really sick and tired of the region turning into a 3rd world where anything goes and people feel like they can do whatever they want and dodge paying taxes on their cash transactions. Do we not have rule of law and order anymore in this country? You can’t start illegal businesses and sell things wherever you feel like it in this country. Govts need to get their act together and crackdown on these significant quality of life crimes.

dp.. people who don't have an education basically work minimum wage jobs. Have you ever tried to survive on minimum wage? I think these people are probably working multiple jobs. I saw a young boy (about 12 maybe) selling the flowers. Broke my heart.

It can be annoying when the light turns green and the person doesn't move, BUT, I am also compassionate enough to know that these street flower vendors are just trying to support their families.

Is it unlawful to block traffic? To jaywalk? To create unreasonable hazards? Because it’s not about panhandling. Or poverty. It’s about rules of general application. Pedestrians have no business in the road.
