Huh. |
Who says you need to beg? Get a job. This is Biden’s fantastic economy with unemployment below 4%. Plenty of jobs other than panhandling illegally and not paying taxes. |
Haha holy crap, you wasted more time writing this diatribe than you were actually delayed in traffic lmao |
The law is in charge of what you do, dimwit. That’s also a basic lesson from preschool. It’s illegal to panhandle at intersections. It is illegal to dodge taxes. It is illegal to run a business without a license. |
Next time you are going somewhere, how about I stop in front of your car for no reason while there is a green light and traffic all around. Let’s see how you like it. |
|
We have these all over Montgomery County.
At the one corner by our house, they leave SO much trash. Tons of water bottles, etc. I agree that it shouldn’t be allowed. |
Umm they’re got a job. They’re selling flowers. |
|
Maybe selling flowers is all they can do.
If they don’t speak good English and don’t have skills not sure where you think they can get a job easily. They have found something to do to earn money. |
How is it a legal job when it is unlicensed and they don’t pay taxes? Show me anywhere where laws allow for vendors at lights. They don’t have a job, they have an illegal under the table cash business with no licenses or permits. Next, I bet you’ll argue that people running illegal gambling dens ‘have jobs’, lol. |
You don’t need insane IQ or any skills at all to wash dishes at a restaurant, flip burgers or clean toilets. Those are legal jibs where they have to pay taxes through a real employer. Good grief. |
| The real flower shops that pay taxes and employ people and obey regulations suffer. |
dp.. people who don't have an education basically work minimum wage jobs. Have you ever tried to survive on minimum wage? I think these people are probably working multiple jobs. I saw a young boy (about 12 maybe) selling the flowers. Broke my heart. It can be annoying when the light turns green and the person doesn't move, BUT, I am also compassionate enough to know that these street flower vendors are just trying to support their families. I'm sorry that offends you. |
Are you the law? Where I live, it is not illegal to panhandle at intersections, and whether or not a business needs a license depends on the type of business; some businesses do not need a license. |
Yup, +100. As usual, law abiding businesses and people get penalized because we are lax on lawbreakers. |
Is it unlawful to block traffic? To jaywalk? To create unreasonable hazards? Because it’s not about panhandling. Or poverty. It’s about rules of general application. Pedestrians have no business in the road. |
