Disturbing instance of anti-woke brainwashing

It is disturbing to have racist homophobes calling for destruction of America.

Nothing that OP quoted the guy saying was racist or homophobic.

The less-educated among us need to feel superior to someone. The Rs have convinced them that policies that would directly benefit them - affordable childcare, affordable health care, good schools that don't depend on your zip code, sensible gun control, fair treatment under the law, etc. - are "woke" ideas that are going to somehow unravel the fabric of society. Therefore men like this pizza delivery guy vote in favor of corporations and the wealthy and against their own best interests.

And meanwhile back here in reality, among other issues, Democrats do everything they can to hinder school choice and can’t bother to strongly enforce (hello, Hunter Biden!) the gun laws we already have.

PP, I think the pizza delivery guy can figure out his own best interests better than you can.

And how exactly do you know from that conversation that the guy is not LGBTQ?

OP, if he were saying the same thing, but talking about, say, conservative parents and reversing the names of the politicians, you wouldn't bat an eye.

Also, super weird that you think a pizza guy shouldn't have political views that differ from a rich person.

Alternative theory: the less educated are forced to get by on their wits and street smarts, and know those promises are empty.

I mean, is your college loan refund on the way? No?

Hinder school choice...you mean promote free and equal access to good-quality public schools for all rather than a select-few with parents that have the time, educational level, lack of drug involvement or incarceration, etc. to investigate and apply for select schools?

And trying to claim they're hindering the gun laws we already have based on Hunter's case? Now that's just plain ridiculous! What a stretch!

I am A-OK with random drug testing of gun owners to ensure they are complying with federal law. When does that happen?

Don’t have time for your BS. You vote the way you want and I’ll vote the way I want and so will the pizza delivery guy in spite of OP’s sanctimonious rage.

Here’s the thing:
We don’t talk about or even think about “conservative parents” unless you’re doing batsh#t crazy things like trying to ban books or threatening our teachers or local school board. Like, you’re not a topic of conversation in our lives unless you’re getting up to some crazy-ass stuff. Going back to your point - I would definitely be weirded out if someone I knew said “Conservative parents must be destroyed and eliminated.” However, the more likely scenario is that such words would never be uttered because I surround myself with stable people.

This gets to the rub of the matter:
why does “Woke” - a fictional concept - live rent-free in conservatives’ heads?

And it wouldn't matter if it was. Freedom of speech is still a thing.

I’m the PP you are quoting and… what? Yes, it would “matter.” If OP and OP’s kid had actually heard something racist or homophobic or otherwise disturbing, maybe I would not be making fun of OP. But I am happy to continue making fun of OP for what actually happened.
