+1 years ago where there as a shooter near an ES my kid was at, this forum provided more and quicker info than the news. I hardly worked that day. I just kept refreshing the forum for any news. LOL

Kids loitering from Gaithersburg is reason to shut down the whole school? That would be a remarkable 180 from MCPS who routinely ignores the comings and goings of its student body normally.

MCPS says report of a weapon on campus.
And apparently Deeny made a loudspeaker announcement of a credible threat on canpus. Sounds like the school is doing the right thing keeping kids in classes with doors locked.

I just went back and listening to the MCPD police scanner. It sounds like there were two men in a pickup truck outside the school that took off running on foot into a wooded area. I didn't hear anything that suggested anyone actually saw them in the school, so it sounds like they are just being cautious becuase the police lost sight of them?
