This, otherwise I might have trouble deciding. |

Hogan would win senate.
Hogan would not win a presidential run because he’s too moderate. |
It's not what I think, but it is what he thinks. https://www.wboc.com/news/hogan-to-cbs-what-happened-on-tuesday-moves-him-closer-to-jumping-into-2024-race/article_204d770e-60f9-11ed-95c3-a332adc35994.html |

Raskin could carry high population areas in Montgomery County, Howard County, Baltimore County, and Baltimore City.
He could also get Dem votes in other places. It will be tough to get votes in low population areas on tge Eastern Shore and Western Maryland, but Raskin’s type of Democrat works only marginalize them more. Hogan has broader appeal around tge state and would not alienate people with Raskin’s fakery. |

Raskin kind of showed his ass by signing onto that idiotic letter re: the Ukraine, but generally is well liked and has raised his profile by being such a ring leader on the Trump and Jan 6th preceedings.
I'll never forget his true Takoma Park self, that he has seemed to distance himself from. Hogan has 71% approval in a 2:1 democratic state. It would be closer than people think. |
Actually the Republicans killed one million Iraqis maliciously before they killed 1 million Americans by negligence- if only you had cared you could have come to the same realization sooner! The reason we have so many devastated veterans is the wars of choice cooked up by Republicans that stole people’s lives and our country’s wealth. |
And can we kill the myth that Hogan was a decent governor please? He engaged in so much self dealing and worked to enrich himself as much as Trump would, plus he killed or harmed public transportation projects that would have benefited the state. What jobs came to Maryland as a result of Hogan? Did he ever do anything successful? Wasn’t his big purchase of Covid tests a scam? Everything he ever did was a scam. He’s a mini Trump. At least Raskin has actually done things. |
Nah, he was good. You sound like one of his loud twitter critics who were mad he played goalie against some of the general assemblies' crazier ideas. Good thing 71% of residents disagree with you. |
|
Raskin. A ham sandwich. Whoever runs under "Dem".
No way MD votes in a Republican Senator post-Dobbs and when Congress is basically 50-50 in terms of control. Just no way. |
Instead of ad hominem attacks, why don’t you explain what was so “good” about him? Did he get any new jobs in MD? Did he save any money? Did he do anything? Why is the bar for Republicans so low that “not an insurrectionist traitor” is sufficient to become a United States Senator? |
He was pretty good on covid policy. The state got and has maintained its AAA bond rating for the first time in almost 30 years. He didnt raise taxes, unlike MOM. Purple line will be completed. |
For someone who held office for EIGHT YEARS, this isn’t much. It’s just… meh. Is this enough to vote for someone who is part of a party that includes fascists and terrible policy that only favors the ultra wealthy? I don’t think so. |
Also, Hogan was governor while the national economy was booming, O’Malley was governor during a catastrophic recession where people lost enormous wealth and that impacted the state’s coffers greatly. You can’t just pretend there is no context. Hogan is kind of a nothingburger, and his stance on abortion will probably doom him anyway. |
Oh yes, good old governor O’Malley! I especially loved it when he taxed THE RAIN. But only for some, not for everyone. And it was mostly Montgomery County. |
| Is the assumption that Cardin will retire? |
