What is Florida Democratic Party doing?

Jamie Harrison is a failure.
Florida Dems are non existent and Harrison did this same as Texas.

And DOJ Garland has failed us with his utter incompetence.

Just can’t vote for someone who will raise my taxes.

He screwed over Floridians on early COVID vaccines and unemployment. He took the money from the feds for these things, and made them very difficult for poor Floridians to access them. Now, he boasts about a surplus from the all the interest they got from not giving money to residents. I know a lot of people in the hospitality industry that ended up losing their homes.

He also refuses to do anything about the insurance crisis. It is mostly the litigation from roofers that is tanking the industry, not hurricanes. The legislature could do something about this, but the won’t.

This is the complete opposite of what I experienced.

You have health insurance, and didn’t need to shell out hundreds of dollars to get a doctor’s note for an early vaccine? Must be nice.

The Florida unemployment system was not his fault. He inherited that from Lord Valdemort. People had trouble accessing their unemployment benefits due to the pandemic. The system was corrected, and people started receiving the $600 federal weekly benefit. Florida is a terrible place for workers, and it's a great place for the rich.

He's an Italian-American former Navy JAG officer native of Jacksonville, Florida. His Navy buddies probably love him.

He had a younger sister who died unexpectedly in her 30s. His wife underwent treatments for breast cancer. He placed the first Latina (woman) as his lieutenant governor. He doesn't appear to be a raging misogynist. The Trans issue came to the forefront for DeSantis because Lia Thomas placed first and the 2nd place swimmer on the woman's team is from Sarasota, FL.

I think he could be a strong leader if he would stop with the frat boy antics of the typical Southern politicians, like with flying migrants from Texas to Martha's Vineyard.

+1. He's a more competent Trump.

Election results say otherwise.

That’s terrifying.

Nothing is ever the fault of DeSantis, right? Owning the libs seems to be his main focus. And people thought Mussolini would be a strong leader.

I’m in FL about 4 months a year for a week or two at time (work related, not enjoyment) for the last 3 years. Mostly TSP, but sometimes FTL and JAX

It seems like a very well run state. In the spring/summer of ‘20 it was especially glorious, because it was the only place that felt “normal”, especially compared to NY/NJ/LI at the time, where I also work frequently. DC-area was sort of in-between the two, but I always looked forward to going to FL.

One thing I will definitely point out is that in my experience, state employees in FL, regardless of the agency, seem more competent and willing to help than in many other places. I have to deal with a lot of regulatory compliance stuff, and the FDEP folks are top-notch.

He has a 70% approval rating in the state of Florida so he’s doing something right.

Time will tell

Are they planning to move from Florida? I heard many people want to move to mor Democratic controlled states.

How much did you have to pay for the vaccine and which type did you receive? How much did you pay for subsequent vaccines and boosters? I can provide a contact who can reimburse you.
