This reminds me.
My ILs always add something that, to me, tastes like rotting. I don’t know why but I haven’t liked it for years. I just avoided after the first two times.

No one knows this is what I think.

A side note, they often don’t really hear me out.

SIL is my friend and recently stuck up for me.

MIL at breakfast: “I’m going to make eggs. Planning to add X, salt and pepper. Does anyone want another addition, or for me to leave something out?”

Me: “oh yeah, If you don’t mind, you could leave out X.”

No one else had any changes.

Mil: “are you sure? I usually add X”

Sil: “well, she said she didn’t want you to add X. And you asked. So sounds like don’t add X.”

Thanks sil!

I’ve always wanted to post this somewhere. Moral: always listen to your guests about what they want added or not added!

Garlic powder. I don’t know why. It has been 10 years, and they have used it in 3-4 different settings. So not an issue with the brand they buy.

In addition I use that ingredient in other things. Somehow, combined with eggs it has made me gag multiple times, or my sense of smell directs me away. The first time was before I was ever pregnant.

Anyone else dislike garlic powder just in eggs?

I add cottage cheese for the protein. Tarragon is really good on eggs!

A little milk, and then either Everything But the Bagel seasoning, or cinnamon, depending on which flavor bagel I'm having with the eggs. I've tried putting vegetables into my eggs, like diced tomato or bell pepper but really hate both the taste and the texture-mixture.

Anonymous wrote:I have an egg allergy, but my 4YO loves scrambled eggs- at other people's houses. When I try to make them for her, she does not enjoy, and I am can't taste them. What do people generally put in them so toddlers like them. Milk? Lots of butter?

Shredded cheese! That's the only way my kids eat them.

Also a good sprinkle of salt and glug of milk, whisk well, warm buttered pan starting on medium heat, but move lower as they cook. I sprinkle the cheese on top right after I pour into the pan, use a spatula to move cooked parts to middle of pan from tome to time, letting liquid move into areas you pushed from. Towards end, flip pieces over as needed to ensure fully cooked.

sun dried tomatoes and goat cheese is my favorite combination, I guess I'm stuck in the 80s.

For kids - milk or cream, butter, salt and cheddar. No pepper

The broken bits left over in a bag of tortilla chips. Migas isn't a thing here, yet, but yum

Cream cheese. Especially at a hotel breakfast buffet, it's an easy thing to make them better
