+1 op you need to be more creative next time. |
Seriously. Oh an OP you send a lot of time thinking and posting about live in DC but no one in DC thinks or cares about you and your unhappy life in the suburbs of Va. |
Then you’re missing out on some incredible restaurants, many serving ethnic cuisine. |
Yes I guess the car jacking post did not go well? Maybe it’s time for another post about crime in DC? |
I must say I do go to DC for baseball, can't get that here, but nothing else really since I finished school. The restaurants here in Virginia are cheaper and better though based on my memory. |
So are the vaccine mandates. I had to go into DC this weekend. Avoided eating in DC. And unrelated, but I also avoided getting gas in DC! What is up with those insane gas prices!!? |
| You win the Troll of the Day award. How do you know where the "many" are coming from, and how do you know their vaccination status? To know all of that, you'd have to be stomping on your patrons' freedom and privacy a lot more than any mandate does. |
What a snowflake. |
Seems like an awful lot of trouble to go to just because you're too delicate to tolerate a little bit of fabric on your face for less than an hour. |
| What's the name of your restaurant? My DH and I have been trying to get infected so we can travel without worry this spring, but our boosters work too well. |
Well done! Hope DC stays stuck on stupid and you have many more days like yesterday. |

You realize there was a literal march of ANTI-VAXXERS in the nation's capitol this weekend? Anti-vaxxers who compare a mandate to living under Nazi Germany? You're welcome to them OP - I'm grateful as a D.C. resident I can walk into any restaurant and know I'm safe among the vaccinated who believe in science and bonus - all the MAGA nuts are in NOVA now.
In fact, I think I'll walk over to Le Diplomat for lunch and enjoy the sanity. |
|
OP - let us know when those servers who made $36/hr, serving a crowd of 20,000 anti-vaxxers, start calling out en masse around oh...Wednesday. Your Friday service is going to be sh*t. Enjoy the Covid.
Since the pandemic began, 12,009,942 PCR (polymerase chain reaction) tests have been conducted in Virginia as of Friday, with a 30.9% positivity rate from tests over the last week, down from the 31.6% reported Thursday. https://www.wdbj7.com/2022/01/21/covid-virginia-percentage-tests-coming-back-positive-continues-drop/ |
| We live in Virginia, and we're going to DC for restaurants and MD for shopping. |
