Thanks DC

I own a restaurant in Arlington and his weekend my business achieved record sales compared to the past 10 years. Many came from DC and were unvaccinated. The requirement for papers will further hurt the DC scene and help me.

Good for you but I feel sorry for your staff

No problem! I'm a DC resident who has been driving to Arlington/ Alexandria to do my grocery shopping maskless.

I have a feeling you are a really nice person.

You're welcome. I hope they all move there, too.

How do you know people’s vaccination status? 😂

Obvious liars are so obvious. You do not own a restaurant anywhere.

My employees (not "workers" like the left likes to categorize) earned an average of $36.50 per hour this weekend. I think they're really happy after the past 2 years.

If this is OP - WOW - that's a whole lot better than the $7.25 they are used to (and the big old $2.15 you pay them)

Thank you for this note of dignity.

I don't really know what the point of this post is, but a lot of these people may not have been downtrodden, liberty-starved DC residents escaping draconian vaccine papers. They were probably affiliated with the anti-vax protest.

I wish you would name your restaurant so I could avoid it.

There is no restaurant

As a DC resident of 20 years, I have never once thought to go into VA for a restaurant - maybe to meet VA friends at a restaurant, but never for the restaurant itself and this was before COVID.

Now, with the lax requirements for safety, that will not need to change!

Accurate. I generally avoid VA if at all possible, because getting to it sucks.
