Rich people are so strange to me. Yes, buy her a first class ticket. |
| I think it’s perfectly fine to put her in economy. |
These aren’t rich people. They would know the proper way to act if they were. They’re nouveau riche at best. |
|
I don't understand the arrangement at all. She's tagging along on your family vacation but not working? I hope you have some ground rules in place, this seems kind it could get messy fast.
But if she's truly just on the same flight as your are while en route to her own personal vacation, then no, I wouldn't say you need to buy her a first class ticket. |
|
WTH does this even mean-- "we offered to add her to our [vacation]?"
So she's going on vacation with you? If so, you're going to "use" her, at least because she won't be able to help it. I guess if you're renting a huge house with a separate area with its own entrance or something, that's more of a proper separate vacation, but... |
| If you’re just letting her tag along as you’ve got space at your vacation location then she doesn’t need first class. IF it easy to pay for then do it but make sure her seat isn’t contiguous so it’s really seen as the gift it would be - and not an implied ‘helper’ placement. |
Agree. If she is working for you during the vacation, either pay for first for her, or keep her with the kids and only do first class for you and your spouse. |
| I would Fedex her ahead of time to the destination so she could help set everything up. |
This. |
| This is such a troll post. Toss out a provocative title and first post. Then slowly dribble in with some other pertinent details—-the teens & tweens, she’s just going on vacation. What’s next—we’ll hear how the nanny is also in a wheelchair or how she once stole money but your big heart forgave her? It will be something crazy. |
Um, did you husband propose this idea? |
| Wow that’s gross. |
Shhh dont poison the well! You'll scare OP away. |
So if you don't need her, but you and her mutually agreed to go, then what is the expectations of the nanny paying for certain things?? Would the nanny pay for the difference in upgrade? She's not expected to work, right? So you'd better agree as whose paying for what going forward. It'll get messy otherwise |
| Most def not first class for the nanny. what are these people thinking |
