Scientific American on Decline in Sex Across the Board

Im' bored right now ... but thinking about sex is making me want it.

I think porn does have an impact. For most men they want sex somewhere between a little and a LOT more than women. In my marriage, it takes a herculean effort to get my wife in the mood where she might want to have sex, emphasis on might. With porn so easily available, men can take care of themselves.

I would much prefer sex with a real woman and if I were single I would put the effort in

I’m quite convinced that the number of young people identifying as gay has something to do with it as well.

With a pandemic and other life stuff going on sex isn't really the top of the list.

What don't you get OP????

I think people are finally becoming more educated regarding sex. Exchange body fluids with people you don't know can transmit all kinds of things. I had a friend die a few years ago from HPV throat cancer, and a relative from aids and related complications. The media seldom reports on all that but it's quite prevalent. Some simply value their health above all...

Definitely porn and video games. But for the life of me I cannot understand how men would not want the real thing. Maybe it's just plain laziness.

If only the studies backed you up on that. The studies show the opposite. Those who view porn have more sex. Maybe it was not porn but you. Long term relationship with no sex? Sounds like he was interested in sex but not with you. Maybe he had an AP?

The negative impact of porn on the millennial male libido is well documented.

Is this unusual? Whenever DH watches porn he wants to have sex. More porn leads to more desire for sex in DH.

So I find it hard to believe that porn reduces sex.

Hi, incel!

no, actually from the late 60's and 70's -- a time of free love, man. I feel sorry for the young today.

Who are these women? I’d have sex every day and managed to find a guy who became gay. I guess we attract our opposites. Why are so many libidos mismatched?

I remember 10-15 years ago when people mentioned this they were met with scoffing disbelief that any man would prefer porn over sex. Now everyone recognizes it’s true
