Bethesda homicide

Well, that's odd because it suggests that the victim was missing for some time, which suggests that the victim was in the stairwerll for quite some time before being discovered at 8:15 pm. Was no one in the stairwell at all that day? I do avoid that stairwell, but I'd find it hard to believe no one was in it for hours and hours.

Maybe the body was dumped there shortly before it was discovered?

The teen suspects, whose names were not released, were charged with first-degree murder, armed robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. Police told News4 they believe drugs were involved in the incident.

"drugs were involved" doesn't necessarily mean a drug deal. It could mean that the perpetrators were hopped up on drugs, and/or were robbing from the man in order to get drug money, which is why they went overboard and beat him to death. Being in a concrete starirwell, I guess it could also be that things got out of hand fast -- they pushed him hard, he fell backwards down the stairs, and they fled. It's awful.

Terrifying. Who were the attackers?

Marijuana deal gone bad. Deceased was the dealer.

At least 2 of the suspects live at the NCCF shelter on Greentree, so does that mean they were Whitman students?

It is such a poorly laid out shopping area, parking, stairs, and the elevator opens on the wrong side of the often.

Actually, I think that is Chevy Chase . . .
You are correct.

Just like the post office across the street -- the Bethesda post office -- is also in Chevy Chase 20815. The dividing line is about 2 blocks down Wisconsin Ave. But I think most people consider it Bethesda. The Bethesda fire department on the corner of Bradley and Wisconsin is also in Chevy Chase, address-wise.

How do you know deceased was the dealer?

From the WJLA article:

"Based on preliminary information, sources stated the three teens met the adult victim to purchase marijuana."

They released the name of the 18-year-old but haven’t of the younger ones.
