| Wow. Charged with a crime? Someone really has it in for her, for the family. |
DP. That's the point. Anna left the kids with Jim Bob/Michelle and Jana the whole time while Anna went off to live with him at his halfway house and 'save' her marriage. I bet she dumped the newborn off on Jana too, she certainly wasn't in court with her post-birth. |
Umm maybe maybe not. But if you have infants or toddlers running in a street with no adults around - its legally amissable to charge child abandonment and endangerment. That's why having 19 kids is a stupid idea. Let alone the next generation - I believe Jim Bob has 20 grandkids under 10. That's a lot of babysitting. |

Unless they try to offer a plea in exchange for her giving up the goods on JB and Michelle.
Or her punishment is she can’t be alone with kids, which makes her nearly useless to her parents. |
Honestly she'll just get probation probably. First offense. Wasn't deliberate. But it might scare her enough to get out of the Duggar household - especially with Josh's conviction and the all-but certainty Anna's relocation to the compound is permanent. |
Agreed. And with good reason. The Duggars were fundie royalty and involved in local and state politics — now that Josh has been convicted, it probably feels “safe” to go after that family at last. I guarantee there are 400 more stories like this. |
| What a house of cards |
Maybe. But it doesn't happen unless there's more to the story. CPS and visits might be more common, if anything is done at all. |
| On the Josh Duggar thread somebody speculated that she let josh’s kids visit with him. That is a very good guess. |
+1 But I wouldn’t have to have it it for someone to report unsupervised kids running in the road. |
| Maybe she will ask that her punishment be that she can't be alone with kids. |
So you're saying the law enforcement was involved previously and this was deserved? |
Oh dang. Yep that would do it. And also explain why the charges came the day after his was safely convicted. |
I don't think Anna has anywhere else to go. His trial probably racked up $200K in legal fees, she has no income, and they sold their house last year. |
| Normally I wouldn't say this about someone who endangered kids, but I really feel bad for Jana. It's so easy for us to say "just leave" but when you're so deep in it, it's hard to know what resources exist, let alone how to access them, let alone the enormous religious/cult pressure she's been brain-washed in. |
