This is another, though older, example of Meadows circulating crazy conspiracy theories about the election.

Meadows pushed Acting Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen to investigate "ItalyGate". For those not up-to-date on right-wing lunacy:

According to the conspiracy theory known as “Italygate,” people working for the Italian defense contractor, in coordination with senior CIA officials, used military satellites to switch votes from Trump to Joe Biden and swing the result of the election.

Emails from Meadows to Rosen showing his interest in ItalyGate were released last Summer by Congress.

It’s not that the media has let the story drop. It’s that people are not interested. I tried to make this point in a different thread. Breadcrumbing this conspiracy isn’t working because people are exhausted. They want closure. What’s another story about bad behavior when there are no consequences? It’s conditioning people to accept it, is what it is.

I guess the 1/6 Commission will need to hold prime time streamed/televised hearings to tell the story. No one is going to read the 10,000 word report with 100,000 sources and appendices.

But the power hungry clever ones don’t really care about abortion rights or health care, right? It’s a larger game, and it’s money.
