More OK than for BHIs to yell vile things at white teenagers. |
If HRC was elected as POTUS would she be inviting the BHI and the lying "elder" to the WH? |
You are late to this thread. We have established that the BHIs are batshit crazy and normal people avoid them and ignore them when they are out there exercising their first amendment right of free speech. We also established that these are the worst chaperones in the history of chaperones, and that a school that has a history of students making more decisions should not have let them out of their sight, or encouraged them interacting with the crazy people. Catch up. |
| ^^^^ students making poor decisions (as in raping girls, getting caught, raping ANOTHER girl a month after that) |
Was does the DOD call people who served during that time? I want to call my dad, who was drafted in 1966 during the Vietnam War but had the good fortune to be sent to Germany, what kind of Veteran it’s acceptable to call himself. Love how much conservatives love only the “right” Veterans and even embrace assholes who dodged service altogether. |

In 2012, over $6,000 was raised for a documentary about his life in which he claimed to be a Vietnam veteran.
In a video about the documentary, director Maria Stanisheva explained that her documentary was about Phillips’ belief that he could pray cancer away from his wife. Stanisheva explained in the footage that Phillips had been sent to a Catholic boarding school at the age of five. From the sound of it, he resents the experience. “Nathan’s past is a difficult one. He was forced out of his family at the age of five to be integrated into a Catholic school — like so many other Native Americans — not being allowed to see his family for ten years,” Stanisheva stated. Stanisheva goes on to say that “he was then a Marine in Vietnam — and right after that he became an alcoholic for 20 years.” Countless media outlets and reporters used this false claim about his service in an attempt to shame those who questioned his antics when he confronted the students in Washington, DC. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/37503939/between-earth-and-sky |
He’s going to give them pussy-grabbing tips. And then Brett K is taking them all out for beers. |
| Can someone please say what the teenagers were saying to the black men that has everyone saying they should not have responded to them? |
You father is a Vietnam era vet according to the VA as is Phillips. But leave out the era part and you're doing a disservice to the people who served in country during the Vietnam war. |

“But then, the crowd of mostly male students turned their anger towards Phillips.
"There was that moment when I realized I've put myself between beast and prey," Phillips said. "These young men were beastly and these old black individuals was their prey, and I stood in between them and so they needed their pounds of flesh and they were looking at me for that." Born in Nebraska into the Omaha tribe, Phillips said he was five years old when he was "taken away from my family and put in foster care ... until I was 17." Phillips said he grew up in an abusive home, started working on construction and lumber jobs, and then joined the Marines, serving in the Vietnam War.“ https://www.freep.com/story/news/local/michigan/2019/01/20/native-american-leader-nathan-phillips-recounts-incident-video/2630256002/ He’s a liar. |
\ None of that is a lie. |
Call your dad and ask him if he thinks he is a veteran of the Vietnam war. |
He didn’t serve in Vietnam. |
Your dad is a veteran. Nothing more, nothing less. He is not a combat veteran or a war veteran, and, certainly not a Vietnam veteran. There is nothing to be ashamed of as long as he was honorably discharged, you should be proud of his service. Plenty of soldiers did not go to Vietnam in that era--I have a cousin who was a cook in the Marines--spent his "career" at Quantico during Vietnam. DH spent two tours in Vietnam. He is a war veteran and a Vietnam veteran, and, also, a combat veteran--but his experience in Vietnam was not nearly as bad as many others experienced. There are many, many whose experiences were awful and much worse than his. The problem with Phillips is that it has been widely reported that he was a Vietnam veteran for some years. Is that his fault? Depends on how the story started. Sounds to me a little like Blumenthal--he did not go out of his way to correct the story. |
Nobody cares. The kids still acted like assholes. |
