"New" information from the Malaysian government. I'm convinced they (and the US) know what happened to this plane and that it landed intact somewhere.

Yes of course! Because you really need to "beef up" your defense against a commercial airplane.

Supposedly there was intelligence going back at least a year or 2, suggesting terrorists have been plotting to take a commercial plane, fill it with explosives and use it for an attack. Can't remember where I read that, but it was a major news source, not one of the sites filled with conspiracy theories.

You do know it is very easy to shoot down a commercial aircraft like a 777 with the type of weapons Isreal has long before it reaches their airspace? What do you think the military does all day? Oh look there is an unidentified plan flying into our airspace. Hey look it is coming from a country we are not friendly with(all of Isreal's neighbors), let's just sit back here and see what happens.

Clearly the plane landed in one piece. If it was known to have crashed or suspected to have crashed there would be no need to hide information like this new radar data. Israel increasing it's security is another example. The secrecy is likely been a request put out for the safety of the hostages involved.

Were you? Let's see, so in 911 terrorists hijacked aircraft already in the US, in the flight control system and in the air. Quickly took over the plane and flew it in to their targets. Of the four planes only three made it to the target because people on the last plane fought b/c they knew they were going to die. Orders had been issued to shoot down any aircraft not following instruction. So any other plans would have been shot down. Oh wait you think that the plane will defeat isreal's world class air defensive system? You make no fucking sense.

According to the Times of Israel, Israel's Channel 2 has revealed that Israeli air defenses have been boosted, and approaching civilian aircraft will be asked to identify themselves far earlier.

Though the flight was presumed at first to have crashed, whole or in pieces, into the ocean, passive satellite transmissions from the aircraft suggest that it made a deliberate course change and may have headed north into central Asia.

Pakistan has already said that the flight never registered on its radar, but at least one expert has suggested the flight could have landed in Bangladesh, whose air defenses presumably would be weaker.

Though the possibility that the Boeing 777 could be used in a terror attack is mere speculation, it is evidently being taken seriously by Israel.

Here's a video from CNN. Fox News had some articles as well. Did not see much on ABC news, etc. Israel suspects Iran is behind this.
