| Amber's fashion choices, especially the tuxedo jacket with the satin lapels, are a masterclass on what not to wear to court. |
What makes you think she was a child that he began seducing? Prior to Johnny Amber was in a domestic relationship with a Tasya Van Ree and called herself Amber Van See (this was before gay marriage was legal). |
So she's bi, what's your point? |
My point is that she wasn't "just 22 when he began seducing her". She was a grown up married woman when she began seducing him. |

I do think that Johnny did not intend to do anything bad. But if he has some addictions (which Dr. Kipper confirmed in his testimony and into a doc introduced into evidence), then Johnny may have done some bad things that he did not intend to do (and does not remember now). Drug addiction is a very difficult situation, and so sad. |
That absolutely does not excuse his behavior. He brought the suit. He sued over an extremely vague op Ed. Now rhe stuff about him raping her with a bottle is all over the news. And that's 100% his fault. For that reason, I believe her. She kept things quiet and wrote an Op Ed that made no specific allegations about him. If she'd been trying to destroy him, these details would have come out earlier. But this is about him trying to destroy her. And look, it's working |

Are either of them destroyed?
I think this trial is making them relevant. I never thought I’d say that but they’re back in our minds. |
This. I think it's all a publicity stunt. I didn't even know there was an Aquaman 2 movie until this. Depp hasn't had a decent role in years. It will help both of them make $$$. This trial is nothing more than reality TV - and it's fantastic entertainment, everyone is talking about it. Absolutely outrageous to use the court system like this....BUT at least we got #mepoo out of it. |

The only reason why she didn't write it in detail was because they had a previous agreement: “Our relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love. Neither party has made false accusations for financial gain. There was never an intent of physical or emotional harm. Amber wishes the best for Johnny in the future. Amber will be donating financial proceeds from the divorce to a charity.” She still wanted the metoo movement to notice her, as a quick supplement for her inability to do anything meaningful with her craft. |

And, she's making sh!t up as she goes along. |

Bottom line for the jury - Is there sufficient proof he abused her? We won’t know that until her case is presented in full. Right now, it’s he said she said.
It doesn’t matter if she abused him. That’s not what’s on trial. It might help with credibility issues but doesn’t matter in this case. If she can convince the jury that he was physically violent with her, she wins. Of course, that’s if they aren’t starstruck and scrolling through social media. |

The amount of visceral Heard hatred in this thread (and over sympathy for Depp) is making it pretty unreadable for me. It sounds to me like he slapped her a bunch of times, punched the walls around her, destroyed property around her (glass, bottles) in a way that didn't show any concern by whether she was hurt by it. It sounds like the classic cycle of abuse, amped up by addictions. It's very strange to me how so many of you want to believe in him, either through fandom, or misogyny, or some belief she was out for his money, etc.
Sure, women can abuse men. But men hopped up on coke and alcohol often do get violent and abuse women and do things they don't necessarily remember later. Heard doesn't just describe one incident, she describes several, and she did tell other people around her at the time what was going on (and folks like her therapist do substantiate that). To me, this is just demonstrating that Heard was right all along (well, the ACLU was, presumably) in that the system bends over backwards to protect men, and doesn't do much for women. He's suing her! What a crazy power imbalance. He showed up late and drugged up to sets for years, costing millions of dollars of losses on set like a total diva, but when he loses his jobs he says it's because of Heard! She tried to help him get clean and tried to get him out of his behaviors and on to sets on time. She discouraged his worse drug use and recognized its effects on his kids when he was too blotto to see it. But somehow he takes ZERO responsibility for his job loss, and sends it all to her. Most of you guys live in some weird parallel universe where this is all right and he is a good guy. The media is excoriating him for a reason. He seems pretty awful to me. |
If you were watching the trial you would have seen that she wanted the op-ed to be much harsher about Johnny but the ACLU lawyers dissuaded her. |
