Probably this, but I bet he and Sophie do connect at a later stage in life. |
+1 Starting to think he chooses himself ala Kelly Taylor. |
| That whole long timeframe for the day's wedding events made zero sense for someone with Alzheimer's. They waited until late for Rebecca to do her song so she could have a long rest in the afternoon? She would be sundowning, wouldn't she? If she wanted to sing, why not do it during the ceremony, which could take place early afternoon? |
| Miguel is such a mensch. I feel more for him than I ever did for Jack, who was never as dimensional a character. |
+1 He clearly spent most of the night with Sophie. She probably advised him about finding happiness within himself etc. Doubt anything happens, but do hope there is real closure this time. |

The good:
The Madison and Beth dynamic duo. They constantly had drinks in hand. How drunk were they by the end of the day?? Cassidy looking so healthy The venue and decor- yeah, totally ridiculous for a second wedding and on the salaries of two school teachers, but it sure was pretty to look at The bad: Randall’s speech. Why the hell were there so many speeches?? Best man and maid/matron of honor should give d speeches, let’s not just bring people up to chat about the bride! Who was Kate’s maid of honor? Was it Madison? The soul-crushing: Miguel’s emotional outburst about just wanting to drink wine with Randall for an hour because it’s something they share and Randall ruined it. I was not a fan of Randall this episode. Everything wedding-day Rebecca. My elderly parents/ in-laws do not have dementia, but I couldn’t stop thinking what if this happens to them in the next few years? The random: The stupid Rebecca bad haircut storyline was completely unnecessary, but it did make me nostalgic for the 80’s when it seemed every mom had to get that unattractive short haircut the minute they left the hospital with their firstborn. |
That was the best line of the series. I was surprised that Kate had Miguel give her away and not Kevin and/or Randall. Or Nicky. Or Jack. It was sweet though. |
I'm not sure about that. I might have to go with Beth's line, "We're going to have to punish him with a penis doodle."

Once diagnosed with Alzheimer’s the life expectancy is 4-8 years. So at the time of the wedding (5 years into the future?) it would be 7-8 years since Rebecca was diagnosed. She wouldn’t be doing that well by that time. The whole show is unrealistic.
Since Kevin seems so unsure at the end I am thinking Sophie. Probably up all night talking and realizing they are each other’s “IT” and she’s unhappy in her marriage. No reason to have such uncertainty with the wedding singer or Cassidy. |
| And I still don’t know why Madison’s kids are in the wedding picture but not Kate’s. |
+1 I don’t understand why everyone would be pushing her for a year to perform at the ceremony. |
Bizarre. It's Kate's wedding! Also, re Randall's girls, didn't Randall mention jokingly that one of them (Annie?) was there as his security detail? |
Supposedly a song she’s sang to them all the time and yet we’ve never heard it until tonight. |
