All of which Gaza has. Well, jihadists burned the water park down because they were upset men and women could swim together.

Can you please cite some sources and pictures of all these “amenities?” If jihadists burned the water park down how is it still on your list?

Seriously?

That link to the water park in Gaza lists 3 water slides — for 2 million people. That would be if my neighborhood pool was for all of DC and NOVA.

It’s insane that you think this proves anything except they already lived very difficult lives.

That wasn’t at all the point I was making, but congrats for missing it entirely.

My point was about Hamas not being these poor freedom fighters and Gaza being a place where nothing gets in.

Hamas could have used these materials to build up infrastructure. They did not.

I don’t think anyone indicated sympathy for Hamas or that they were “poor freedom fighters.” I think what people are trying to tell you is that the conditions in Gaza and the actions of Israelis only strengthen Hamas and give it more legitimacy.

Seriously, let’s say you live in Gaza and want to challenge Hamas and attempt peaceful solutions. How could you after Israel has rendered over 1 million people homeless? Who would want peace with that?

Your arguments are ridiculous. You have no concept of the difference between these small facilities and what it takes to build up infrastructure. You are implying they have to literally have nothing in order to be truly oppressed. It's pretty offensive.

I never ever said that.

I’m making an argument SPECIFICALLY about Hamas.

From what few pictures I could find from your links, these look like Soviet era “luxury” amenities. Seriously get a life sitting in your Bethesda McMansion justifying genocide.

I never said they were up to Western standards.

But you all act as though Gaza had absolutely nothing. It’s simply not true.

What standard of living is low enough for you to understand people supporting or participating in violent resistance?

So Hamas has a low standard of living (lol sure) and that’s why they engage in violent resistance? Is that what you’re trying to say?

Gaza has a low standard of living, that is why many residents support Hamas.

Plenty of people have called them freedom fighters. Someone just compared them to American slaves rising up.

Well maybe if Hamas collapsed the building and trapped these people it would be close to a whatabout. Israelis are targeting civilians blowing up hospitals, churches, school, aid supplies, etc. They have leveled most of north Gaza trapping civilians under the rumble. What religion would condone such violence against helpless civilians?

Israelis have a higher chance of being killed and burned alive by their own government.

https://thegrayzone.com/2023/10/27/israels-military-shelled-burning-tanks-helicopters/

Tuval Escapa, a member of the security team for Kibbutz Be’eri, set up a hotline to coordinate between kibbutz residents and the Israeli army. He told the Israeli newspaper Haaretz that as desperation began to set in, “the commanders in the field made difficult decisions – including shelling houses on their occupants in order to eliminate the terrorists along with the hostages.”

An Israeli woman named Yasmin Porat confirmed in an interview with Israel Radio that the military “undoubtedly” killed numerous Israeli noncombatants during gun battles with Hamas militants on October 7. “They eliminated everyone, including the hostages,” she stated, referring to Israeli special forces.

According to Haaretz, the army was only able to restore control over Be’eri after admittedly “shelling” the homes of Israelis who had been taken captive. “The price was terrible: at least 112 Be’eri residents were killed,” the paper chronicled. “Others were kidnapped. Yesterday, 11 days after the massacre, the bodies of a mother and her son were discovered in one of the destroyed houses. It is believed that more bodies are still lying in the rubble.”

Much of the shelling in Be’eri was carried out by Israeli tank crews. As a reporter for the Israeli Foreign Ministry-sponsored outlet i24 noted during a visit to Be’eri, “small and quaint homes [were] bombarded or destroyed,” and “well-maintained lawns [were] ripped up by the tracks of an armored vehicle, perhaps a tank.”

Apache attack helicopters also figured heavily in the Israeli military’s response on October 7. Pilots have told Israeli media they scrambled to the battlefield without any intelligence, unable to differentiate between Hamas fighters and Israeli noncombatants, and yet determined to “empty the belly” of their war machines. “I find myself in a dilemma as to what to shoot at, because there are so many of them,” one Apache pilot commented.

Israel is setting the rules that civilians are fair game.

They’ve been leveling Palestinian homes long before October.

I don’t understand the outrage that their adversary is following their lead.

10/7 didn’t happen then?

Huh? Nice strawman.

I just pointed out that Israel frequently bombed Palestinian homes BEFORE October 7th.

Israel has been killing Palestinian civilians for decades. And they’re shocked that Hamas is fighting back the same way? Cry me a river.

Back to the battlefield and this IDF assertion: “Madhath Mubashar—Commander of Hamas' Western Khan Yunis Battalion—was eliminated by an IDF aerial strike.

Furthermore, the IDF struck 250+ Hamas targets including a terrorist tunnel network in Gaza that detonated the secondary explosions.”

Just going to point out that Hamas has been lobbing missiles at Israel for years now.
Do you expect them not to respond? You think it is ok for Hamas to continue to bomb Israel and Israel is just supposed to sit by and take it?

The joy of Israelis when they see Palestinian children blown to pieces and starved to death.

You have to understand. PP doesn’t care that Hamas has been lobbing rockets so often at Israel that every Israeli home has a safe room. PP doesn’t care that suicide bombings used to happen with regularity across Israel before Israel restricted movement between Gaza and Israel.

PP is likely celebrating the fact that the Iron Done failed to stop these rockets.

The way the Israeli military treats Palestinian civilians is the entire reason was elected in the first place.

Israel has been killing Palestinian civilians longer than most of us have been alive.

Do you really want to go back in history to the beginning of all of this?

Or would you rather continue to justify why Hamas is morally superior?
