A good take. I can’t imagine Netflix will be willing to pay those ‘grifters’ any more than they already have to |
It has been said many tomes and I agree that people dislike her because she is so inauthentic. The narrative she is trying to sell is one of a perfect romance and perfect family but we all know for a fact that both she and harry are both bitterly estranged from there very dysfunctional families so the starting point is a load of bs. Also pretty fake that she hates baking, has never made candles before and is afraid of bees… |

Honey, what you don't get is that she doesn't want to live - she wants an audience and applause. She is addicted to attention. |

Right. I noticed you posted the link and were immediately drowned out and ganged up upon by the MM defenders. They dont realize that their knee jerk aggression makes MM look really bad, especially to people on the fence. It's okay to have nuanced conversations about her flaws, it's okay to not think she's perfect or so gorgeous or the best cook. It's okay to laugh about her making peanut butter sandwiches on her show. That doesnt make you some misogynistic or racist demon. They dont realize how insane they sound and it's sad |
Why is that deranged? Just because you dont have a comeback? You sound deranged, tbh, and also like you dont have a leg to stand on and know it. |
It absolutely does go out of style. Just because something is sold at Ralph Lauren hardly means it's avant garde, lmao. |
She’s totally deluded because they’re surrounded by yes men and yes women toadies on their payroll and other moochers and users exploiting them to further tarnish the royal family. Her and Harry are too damn dumb to realize what a bottom rung joke they are. |
lol, right? Ralph Lifshitz is 85 years old and most of his brand is outlet store garbage at this point. |
I've been critical of Meghan elsewhere and I think her show is mediocre, but I'm defending her on the name thing because as a general principle, I think people should be allowed to tell others what the prefer to be called. I don't think you should have to "prove" it's your legal name with an ID. There are many situations where someone might choose to go by a name different than the one on their ID or their birth certificate, and I think we should normalize this as being fine. Examples include:
- Trans people in the middle of transition who have chosen a new name but not legally changed it yet - Women (or men) who may change their names legally when married in order to share a family name but choose to use their old name professionally because they are established as that name - People who have experienced stalking or similar issues and may use an alias for safety reasons - People who experienced childhood abuse or DV who may choose to go by a different name to avoid the association with their abuser (even before or in lieu of changing it legally) And so on. I'm kind of horrified by the comments on here that are like "it's not on her driver's license! she's lying! we demand justice!" Because the same could be said of any of the situations I just outlined. My rule is that I call people what they want to be called. You want to go by a nickname, okay. You want me to start calling you by your maiden name again post-divorce? No problem, I am not requesting paperwork. Meghan has stated that she wants to go by Sussex and that this is what she wants her children to be called. It's even an accepted naming convention within her husband's family, so it's not out of left field or totally unreasonable. She's not asking to be called Princess Consuela Banana-Hammock. I think some of you are blinded by your dislike of her and being unreasonable, but consider that there are other people you don't hate who would like the same grace extended regarding what they'd like to be called and that the things you are saying here undermine their efforts to choose what they want to be called. |
DP. uh, you know we can tell it’s you again, right? And again, you make up arguments that no one ever made. No one ever said chambray was avant garde. We said it was classic and will always be fashionable, albeit not necessarily trendy (although it certainly will likely come back as trendy again). RL is a fashion icon and always will be, even if his co sells lower cost goods. |
The Row is also selling them. But you self-prou fashion people need to stop using trendy, outdated, and avante guard interchangeably. You are exposing yourself as trolls. Not only do you keep moving the goal post, you sound completely insincere when you expect someone making candles in their craft cottage to be dressed in avant guarded fashion. |
Again, fashion and trendy are not always the same |
Harry and Meghan are lucky to be free from their dysfunctional families and wish them all the best. They seem like good people and they’ve been through some hard times. I like that they take care of each other and are prioritizing normalcy, even if it is the rich California kind that I can’t personally relate to. |
