Anyone poised to assist needs to be fired for not doing their job in a literal crisis caused by the military.

Is that quote for real?

Yes. Exact quote, I believe from his tweet.

It absolutely is. The department he leads just killed 70 people, and he's poised to assist with a little prayer on the side.

Absolutely disgusting to politicize this tragedy for a nominee who just got confirmed a few days ago. Honestly a new low on the left.

What would MAGA do?

I can tell you what they are doing. Last night i was looking for info after i found out (i was hoping for survivors like the crash in the 80’s) and went on Foxnews.com and found ended up on the comments to the article about the crash. They were all (except for a handful of decent people) “i bet the military pilot must have been a DEI hire” or “ this what happens when you have DEI”…..

He’s not a fox correspondent any longer. Also, what was he saying? If he was saying anything newsworthy why weren’t the papers reporting it first Americans? His agency killed Americans, he needs to be on the ground. Can you imagine if this was Pete?

Maybe he's waiting for his mommy to write a letter covering what he should say to the public...

Out Chinese and Russian loving voters basically picked him. They wave the flag around and talk about America first and then do the bidding of our adversaries.

Somehow, I don't think he would let a Chinese spy balloon cross the United States and its military facilties.

There's a reason Putin wanted him to win.

Yep, Hegseth only mentions Chinese aggression in his opening "Message to the Force"

He's right. His military certainly focused on lethality. I'm not so sure about that line "defending the sky", though.

Who could possibly have foreseen that firing competent leaders, replacing them with incompetent cronies, sending the bureaucracy down rabbit holes chasing transgender boogeymen, trying to get rid of workers who do important things like air traffic control, could have led to a disaster?

At least Transportation Secretary Duffy is doing his job even if Hegseth refuses to do his.

"Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said he did not have information about the experience of crew members aboard the military helicopter other than it was classified as a "training mission." But he cautioned that such a classification does not mean the crew members were inexperienced."

To be fair, air traffic control shortages have been news well before this administration came to town. Not fair to hold them responsible for any issues.

Trump tweeted "NOT GOOD", showing the type of leadership we all expect. At least he's predictably awful.

Well, at least someone is doing the bare minimum. If this isn't thoroughly investigated and dealt with it's a terrible sign about what's to come for the USA.

Yes, ever since Reagan busted PATCO.

I don't even know what it means, though. Assist in what?

You'd think the guy whose only qualification was being a TV news personality would have a better sense of what to say in public.

Of COURSE he had to weigh in with his expert opinion. What a moron.

Accountability is important. This happened on his watch. And it shows how idiotic his priorities are. And how badly he is out of his league in this role.
