It absolutely is. The department he leads just killed 70 people, and he's poised to assist with a little prayer on the side.

Absolutely disgusting to politicize this tragedy for a nominee who just got confirmed a few days ago. Honestly a new low on the left.

What would MAGA do?

I’ll tell you what they wound do. They would immediately and ferociously blame the accident on the Dem president and hammer the point over and over again in unison on social media and on TV and mention it in campaign speeches.

Trump and MAGA incessantly criticized Harris for a terrorist act during a complex withdrawal from Afghanistan. But oh, Trump and Pete's military take down a passenger jet over the nation's capital, that's out of bounds.

“DoD actively monitoring. Poised to assist if needed. Prayers for all involved.“

Anyone poised to assist needs to be fired for not doing their job in a literal crisis caused by the military.

Is that quote for real?

Hedgseth's position as SecDef is untenable. He's two days in. An Army helicopter was likely the unfortunate cause of the worst aviation disaster in the US in two decades. And where was Hedgseth? He spent the day taking down Gen. Miley's portrait at the Pentagon and did a Fox interview. Then he disappears. After the disaster, we saw the senators from Kansas, the chairmen of AA, the mayor of DC, and other relevant leaders. But no Hedgseth. Nothing. Just a weak ass thoughts and prayers tweet.

He's obviously already broken his promise to quit drinking. I'm guessing Trump is already disgusted with this weak pick. He expects his people to be camera ready 24/7. It's why he picked Hedgseth. And not 48 hours into his position as SecDef, Hedgseth is already too drunk to put in front of a camera. Contrast that with Donald Rumsfeld who was carrying out bodies from the Pentagon on 9/11. And now we have Hedgseth who is too drunk to deal with a terrible Army related tragedy right next to the Pentagon. Weak and pathetic.

Hegseth has already demonstrated failed leadership at his first opportunity.

He was on Fox News last night around 8:30 pm talking to Jesse and appeared perfectly sober. Stop with the lies. It’s a tragedy and should be treated as such. Blaming and pointing fingers doesn’t help at this juncture.

It would be funny how MAGA are so hypocritical to politicize anything and everything in the most vicious and shameless way but be the first to accuse everyone else of doing the same (especially when most of the time it IS actually a political issue caused by their party).

Pointing fingers? His military just took down a passenger jet. He couldn't go on camera to discuss?

Didn’t he appear perfectly sober on his old Fox gig until inside sources talked? Where is he? Why wasn’t he at the press conference?

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy is already on camera doing reporter interviews. Where is Hegnutz?

Walking around the Pentagon making sure they found all of Milley's portraits and random DEI PowerPoint decks.

Dem here and Duffy did a fantastic job, very forthcoming, diplomatic, caring and informative. There is no excuse for Hegseth not to be there. They aren’t “assisting” for crying out loud. They’re half the investigation. What a dope.
